The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, May 30 Recap – Diane Refuses to Help Ashland – Summer Pushes Kyle’s Legal Action

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, May 30, teases that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will refuse to help Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) while Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) pushes for Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to take legal action.

In the park on Monday’s Y&R episode, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will surprise Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) with a picnic and hope they can celebrate Summer’s possible move home with Kyle and Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez).

Jack will warn Phyllis that he can’t make decisions about buying Marchetti based on emotions, but he’ll get that she’d do anything to have her daughter back home.

Phyllis will think they should celebrate regardless, so Jack will join a toast using doughnuts.

At Society, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will find Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) with Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and ask when Victoria Newman (Victoria Heinle) is expected to return from her spa trip.

Victor will hope Victoria takes her time and enjoys herself, but Adam will quip about however many massages it takes to get her head back in the game.

After Victor warns Adam not to criticize his sister, he’ll steer the conversation to Ashland using Harrison as an excuse to stay in town.

Adam won’t see why Victor would bother worrying about Ashland now that he’s concerned with other issues.

Michael, on the other hand, will pipe up that ignoring a problem won’t make it go away.

Although Adam will think Michael vengeful over his jail time in Peru, Michael will act like Adam’s focused on going after Victoria.

Victor will maintain that Ashland must be driven out of town – and he’ll know the way to do it.

Next, Diane will welcome Kyle and Summer into her suite at the athletic club.

Although Diane will acknowledge Phyllis’ hatred of her, she’ll hope Summer’s a freethinker since she came to see her with Kyle.

Summer will clarify that she’s there to support her husband and will suggest Diane wasted no time making herself at home.

Diane will realize Summer’s referring to the framed phone of her with Kyle and Jack, so she’ll insist that’s the first thing she puts out anywhere she goes.

Although they won’t want to jinx it, Kyle and Summer will admit they might be moving back to Genoa City.

Summer will hint about Diane perhaps having a life to get back to in Los Angeles, but she’ll point out that she’s her own boss in real estate and can do what she wants.

That said, Diane won’t want to pressure Kyle and Summer – though she would like to spend more time getting to know them if they’re up for it.

After Summer sees that Victor’s calling her phone, she’ll take off with Kyle before meeting with her grandfather alone.

At Crimson Lights, Ashland will speak with his attorney to make sure his agreement is legally binding.

The lawyer will agree to get back to Ashland soon, so he’ll be able to turn his attention to Sharon moments later.

Sharon will tell Ashland to save his thoughts and prayers over Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).

After Sharon brings up the $250 million donation Ashland made in Rey’s name, he’ll insist he was assured that’d be kept anonymous.

“We both know that’s a load of crap!” Sharon will fire back – though she’ll be glad Rey’s name will be associated with good things and not Ashland’s.

Sharon will warn that this doesn’t absolve Ashland and will talk about her own horrible cancer ordeal.

The fact that Ashland was cruel enough to put Victoria and Harrison through that will make him disgusting in Sharon’s eyes.

Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) will witness Sharon ripping into Ashland and wonder if she’s OK, but she’ll make her son a special drink and enjoy the distraction.

There’ll be talk about how Noah kind of misses Europe, but he’ll assure Sharon that he’s staying put in Genoa City.

After Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) arrives, Sharon will make a special drink for her as well.

Noah will take it to Allie on the patio as they bond over Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) podcast and get to know each other a bit better.

Allie will get updates on Ashland’s lies offscreen before Sharon brings over some treats on the house.

That’ll leave Allie in awe of how caring Sharon is – and she’ll also think Noah is a good son for caring about his mom.

Back at Society, Summer will talk to Victor about the potential move back to Genoa City.

Victor will plan to spoil Harrison, who’s as much a Newman as an Abbott now as far as he’s concerned.

That’s why Victor will argue that they have to protect Harrison from Ashland.

Victor will urge Summer to talk to Kyle and have him restrict all Ashland’s visitation rights.

Although Victor will want Kyle to sever ties completely, Summer won’t be sure what escalating the situation through legal action would accomplish.

Nevertheless, Victor will argue that if Kyle and Summer stay in town, then Ashland will talk them into sharing custody – and that would be a huge problem.

In the end, Summer will decide she has to protect Harrison and will be willing to pitch Victor’s idea to Kyle.

Once Kyle joins Summer, she’ll admit what her meeting with Victor was about and relay what her grandpa wants.

Kyle will learn Victor thinks they should consider taking immediate legal action to restrict Ashland’s access to Harrison.

Although Kyle won’t want Ashland to have any influence over Harrison, he’ll acknowledge that it’s not so simple since Harrison loves the guy.

Summer will get that, but she’ll also think this will get harder if they wait until Harrison is older.

Once Summer rants about how heartless and manipulative Ashland is, she’ll insist they can’t allow him to be in Harrison’s life.

Summer will reiterate that they need to stop Ashland now.

After Diane witnesses Ashland facing Sharon’s fury, she’ll chase after him and want to chat in the park.

That’ll lead to a run-in with Phyllis and Jack along with talk about “Skyle” potentially moving back home.

Jack will seem upset that Diane knows about that and is now spreading the news around. Any celebrating will be premature according to Jack.

Ashland will ask about Harrison and point out that he met with his attorney.

Although Ashland won’t think this has to be acrimonious, Jack will think they’re way beyond that considering what Ashland has done.

Jack will also warn Diane that any burgeoning friendship here might not help her attempt to show Genoa City a new-and-improved “Didi.”

Afterward, Ashland and Diane will exchange dirty laundry, so they’ll think they’re on equal footing and establish that this is a rare judgment-free zone.

Diane will think they’re both guilty and searching for redemption.

However, Diane will admit she can’t take Jack’s warning lightly.

Although Diane will feel for Ashland, she’ll insist she can’t plead his case if that’s what he’s hoping.

Ashland will understand that he has to tackle this Harrison battle on his own.

At The Grand Phoenix, Phyllis will seethe over Diane as Jack tries to settle her down.

They’ll put the focus back on their celebration, but Phyllis will still hope that Ashland is finally Diane’s undoing.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Diane and Phyllis’ feud will come with some shockers this summer, so stick with Y&R.
