The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, May 30, tease that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will face a loyalty test while Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) brainstorm for their family’s sake.
Summer and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) are hoping to move back to Genoa City, so Jack and Phyllis will certainly be invested in making sure that happens.
Ever since Kyle and Summer made the move to Milan, their parents have missed them terribly.
There’s nothing Grandpa Jack would love more than to have Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) around all the time.
Jack would love to have Summer and Kyle close again as well, so he’ll be interested in making the Marchetti acquisition a done deal.
That said, there are some complications since Jabot previously shifted away from fashion to focus on their core cosmetic background.
Jack may realize he’ll have to convince some naysayers and make certain it doesn’t look like they’re desperately backtracking.
Of course, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is another big issue since if Kyle stays, Diane will be inclined to stay, too.
Jack won’t be thrilled about Diane having so many bonding opportunities – and Phyllis will think Diane’s permanent presence is a disaster waiting to happen.
Even so, Phyllis will be just as invested in keeping Kyle and Summer in town. Diane or no Diane, Phyllis wants her daughter nearby and not all the way in Italy.
Jack and Phyllis will debate the details in a strategy session, so that’ll bring an opportunity to brainstorm and figure out the best way to juggle all this.
As for Summer, Y&R spoilers say she’ll become Victor’s latest recruit.
Victor has been known to put his children and grandchildren through loyalty tests, especially when there’s a lot at stake.
It looks like Summer will be next in line since Victor will want her on his team against Ashland Locke (Robert Newman).
Harrison is a weak spot for Ashland, so Victor will be making a bold move.
Victor will need Kyle to eliminate Ashland’s visitation rights entirely, so he’ll push Summer to talk Kyle into it and take the necessary steps with a judge.
Summer won’t love the idea of using Harrison as a pawn and putting so much pressure on Kyle.
This meeting could leave Summer feeling torn between her loyalty to Kyle and her loyalty to Victor as well as the rest of her family.
Summer has been adamant about putting her husband first during this return stint, but Victor will make a strong case for why she needs to protect Harrison, the Newmans and anyone else in the Locke-ness Monster’s path.
However, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will be the one who proves intimidating when she rejects Ashland’s sympathy over Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and rages over his phony lung cancer.
Ashland will once again get attacked over his mistakes, but it should feel good for Sharon to speak her mind.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will no doubt be there for Sharon in the aftermath of this confrontation.
It’ll lead to Sharon and Nick strengthening their bond during the week of May 30-June 3, so “Shick” fans should get ready for some great scenes.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nick will keep supporting Sharon every chance he gets, so love could bloom again before you know it.
