The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, May 9, tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will do damage control while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) faces consequences. Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will also feel like she’s under attack, so there’ll be some shockers and showdowns happening all over town.
There’s been some upheaval in Victor’s family company lately, so that needs to be addressed.
Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) quietly left Newman-Locke, which is now Newman Enterprises once again.
As part of Ashland’s deal with the Newmans, he also agreed to grant Victoria an annulment.
Now Victoria has appointed Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) as her co-CEO, so suspicions should be swirling for the curious public.
That car crash was surely a huge news story as well, so it’s easy to see why Victor would have to do some damage control.
No matter how much has leaked, Victor will want to present a confident image and prove Newman Enterprises is still a company people can have faith in.
Next, Victoria will grow concerned over a different leak.
Billy didn’t view his recent podcast as a big deal, but Victoria will think it’s a major betrayal after she connects the dots.
Despite Billy’s attempt to keep things anonymous, Victoria’s going to blow her top over her ex using Ashland as fodder for his show – especially since this affects her and the company Ashland left behind.
While Billy faces consequences for his impulsive rant, Diane will get tested through an interrogation.
The Abbott family will do their worst, so Diane will face tons of questions and some serious skepticism about her answers.
Of course, it’ll be Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) who makes this test the most difficult.
Ashley doesn’t think there’s any version of reality where Diane could possibly be a better person.
However, there’s still hope for Diane to win over Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) or at least make some progress with her.
The same goes for Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) since she has such a forgiving heart
Meanwhile, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is already softening toward Diane a bit despite Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) best efforts to protect him.
Kyle also wants to believe his mom might’ve changed, but Diane can’t eliminate his doubts in a day or two.
The interrogation Diane endures may just leave Kyle more torn in the end, but he’ll listen to what everyone has to say and pay close attention to Diane’s answers.
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Diane will face an exhausting grilling session, but she’ll stick to the plan and hope the payoff is a relationship with Kyle.
