The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, May 9, reveals that Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor-Winters (Rainn and River Ware) tactic will rile Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway). Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will also demand Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) confession, so here’s what Y&R fans can expect.
At the coffeehouse, Victoria will want to talk to Billy about his “Grinning Soul” podcast and how he used it to rant about Ashland Locke (Robert Newman).
Billy will pretend someone else does that podcast, but Victoria won’t buy it and will push him to just admit he’s behind the mic.
Billy won’t get why Victoria should care if anyone trashes Ashland, but she’ll think he’s exploiting her private pain on a public level.
After Victoria blasts Billy’s ego, she’ll storm out and land back in her office at Newman Enterprises.
Victoria will think about all the horrible things Billy said on his podcast as she takes off the necklace Ashland gave her for Valentine’s Day.
Later, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will realize Victoria took off that necklace and will praise her for it.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will also get Victoria’s gratitude over the portrait replacement and all the support he’s been giving her co-CEO pick.
After Victor gushes over what a great team Victoria and Nikki will make, Victoria will take off to grab a bite to eat.
That’ll give Victor and Nikki a chance to worry about Victoria, who’s hiding her heartbreak despite her strength.
Meanwhile, Diane will insist she welcomes the chance to face all the Abbotts if it means they might believe she’s changed.
Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) won’t get why they should believe a liar like Diane and will express doubts about her miraculous therapy transformation.
Abby will join Ashley as they ask all sorts of questions about Diane’s psychologist.
They’ll seem like they’re trying to trip Diane up and perhaps prove the therapy sessions didn’t even happen.
Ashley will want bank account information as well and will imply that Diane’s looking to make money out of this return to town.
However, Diane will maintain that Kyle’s forgiveness is all she’s after.
Diane will get mildly flustered at times, but she’ll handle herself pretty well all things considered.
By the time Billy joins the meeting, Diane won’t think there’s much left to spill.
After Diane suggests they’ll just have to have faith at some point, she’ll mention Dominic to Abby.
Diane will act like she has the same love for her own son and won’t think the Abbotts should stand in the way of her being a mother.
As for Kyle, Diane will want to be in his life as much as he allows. Whether that’s in Italy or Genoa City, Diane will make it clear that Kyle’s in the driver’s seat.
Once Diane leaves, Kyle will await everyone’s verdict.
Ashley will feel like the whole thing was a performance – and Abby will also see shades of the old Diane since she tried to manipulate her using Dominic.
Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will feel like Diane’s love for Kyle is real, but he’ll be more concerned about the other aspects and whether he can trust her.
Billy will think Diane perhaps deserves another chance, but he’ll admit he’s biased as the king of multiple chances.
Kyle will turn to Jack for help breaking the tie, but Jack will leave the ball in Kyle’s court.
Only Kyle can decide whether Diane should be in his life, but he still won’t know what to do.
Fortunately, a lovely distraction will arrive in the form of Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang).
Jack will have a big smile on his face after Allie shows up out of the blue and will invite her in to meet the fam.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Allie will be overwhelmed by the warm Abbott welcome that’s headed her way.
