The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, September 26, tease that Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) will explode over the birth mom bomb before rejected Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) cries.
At Newman Enterprises, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will tell Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is on board with her Chancellor-Winters plan.
Nick will also find out that Victoria and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) are about to tell Johnny that Chelsea is his biological mother.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will be brimming with excitement as she joins Billy at Crimson Lights.
Billy will admit they’re telling Johnny today, so Chelsea will hope this is the first step toward something healthy and rewarding for all of them.
In the park, Johnny will kick his soccer ball around while Victoria and Billy prepare to come clean.
After Billy reflects on the past, he’ll make sure Victoria knows she’ll always be Johnny’s mom.
At Society, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will pick up their conversation from last night as Nate gives her info on all the key players – though he won’t have much to say about Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).
During a video meeting with Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), Devon and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will inform her that they’ve agreed to go public.
Jill will be delighted and mention the IPO advisor she recommended, so Lily and Devon will confirm that they’re meeting with Audra this morning.
Since Billy will have a family issue and have to miss some meetings, Devon will question if his heart is really in this.
Lily will defend Billy since this is an important matter, but she’ll admit that Billy may be trying to force passion that isn’t there when it comes to his job.
After Nate brings Audra in, he’ll introduce her to Devon and Lily.
Audra will explain how they met by pure coincidence – and she’ll claim that Nate has been singing Devon’s praises.
Once Audra learns Chancellor-Winters is officially going public, she’ll go over all the steps and impress the gang with her knowledge.
Audra’s energy will be infectious according to Lily, so everyone will think she’s a great fit.
After Audra leaves, Nate will act like he approves if Devon and Lily approve, but Devon will be surprised he doesn’t have a stronger opinion considering he met Audra beforehand.
Nate will worry that Devon is trying to start something, but Devon will insist it’s a compliment since Nate made a good impression.
Later, Audra will send the initial numbers and leave Devon feeling better about his decision.
Lily will insist she couldn’t be happier now that she’s doing this with Devon by her side.
At the coffeehouse again, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) polite banter will freak Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) out, but they’ll both claim to have moved on.
After Sally gets a text about meeting with Nick, Chloe will comment on all their one-on-one meetings lately.
In a moment alone on Monday’s Y&R episode, Sally and Nick will confirm that they haven’t told anyone what happened between them.
Nick will ask Sally if they can have dinner to discuss something partly work-related, so she’ll vow to check her schedule and get back to him.
Based on how they interact, Sally and Nick will still be quite attracted to each other.
Back in the park, Billy and Victoria will sit Johnny down to discuss something.
When Johnny is asked if he ever wonders about his birth mother, he’ll insist he doesn’t.
Victoria and Billy will think Johnny should know the truth since he’s getting older, so they’ll admit the woman who gave them a chance to be a family lives there in Genoa City.
Johnny will get upset when he learns it’s Chelsea, Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) mom.
After Johnny remembers seeing Chelsea at the pool, he’ll feel like they’ve been planning this behind his back.
Johnny will snap that he said he didn’t wonder about his birth mom and they just told him anyway!
Victoria and Billy will try to explain that they didn’t want Johnny to hear this from other people, so he’ll lash out over everyone knowing his birth mother lives in town.
Johnny will then warn that he doesn’t want to talk about this ever again and stomp off.
At Newman Enterprises, Chelsea will tell Nick she’s awaiting updates from Victoria and Billy on their conversation with Johnny.
Nick will reassure Chelsea about Johnny being an understanding kid before she gets a text that it’s done.
Once Chelsea exits, Victoria will reconvene with Nick and admit things went worse than expected with Johnny.
Nick will offer a pep talk before Victoria notices him smiling over a text and fishes to find out who it’s from.
It’ll be from Sally, but Nick will just reveal that he’s finalizing dinner plans.
As for Victoria, she’ll get a call from Nate about Chancellor-Winters officially going public.
Nate will want to know when and where they can meet to discuss the next big step.
Back at Crimson Lights, Billy will tell Chelsea that Johnny needs time to process and that the news about her really threw him.
Since Johnny is a happy kid who doesn’t want his world to change, Billy will warn that they’re not going to push this.
Billy will remind Chelsea that her involvement in Johnny’s life wasn’t what they originally agreed on.
This has to be about what’s best for Johnny, but it’ll seem like Chelsea wants more to Billy.
Chelsea will cry as she insists she just wants Johnny to be OK and everything else can be about what he can handle.
Once Chelsea rushes out, she’ll mope in the park until Adam appears.
Adam will suggest planning a family amusement park trip for Connor and will think they should tell him right now.
Chelsea will argue that she’s having a bad day and will object to Adam previously acting like she was using Connor to make herself feel better.
Chelsea will declare that she’d never use her son that way – that she just wants to love and take care of him.
After Chelsea wonders why no one can understand that, she’ll walk away and leave Adam looking pensive.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Johnny’s rejection will lead to more trouble, so stay tuned.
