The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, September 5 Update – Sally Can’t Forgive Adam – Diane Texts Partner in Crime

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, September 5, teases that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will find that she can’t forgive Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) yet. Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will also text her secret partner in crime, so there’ll be some big things happening in Genoa City.

At home, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will be delighted to learn about the vow renewal and wedding reception that’ll follow.

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will fill Traci in and clam up when Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) appears.

Summer will also alert Kyle to the article about Diane, so he’ll immediately seem concerned for his mom.

Meanwhile, Diane will get a text about the future articles being killed and will learn she owes the person who took care of it for her.

At the coffeehouse, Talia Morgan (Natalie Morales) will celebrate with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) until bad news comes in from her managing editor.

This was supposed to be a big series highlighting more of Diane’s shady behavior, but that series will be canceled and Talia will be forced to drop the investigation.

Talia won’t get what’s up since this first article generated so much buzz.

Back with Diane, she’ll gripe to Jack about Talia focusing on the old her and leaving out her redemption arc.

Diane will also blame Phyllis and Nikki, but Jack will push her to concentrate on herself and avoid letting this setback get her off track.

Later, Phyllis will goad Diane about the article, but Diane will refuse to give her the explosive reaction she wants.

Even so, Phyllis will suggest Talia did the public a service and will think she deserves an award for exposing what a vile human Diane is.

When Kyle finds Diane looking exasperated, he’ll assume it’s about the article.

Kyle will be able to see Diane’s hard work and separate the new version of herself from the old.

After Kyle offers comfort, Diane will take his hand and thank him for his supportive words.

Next, Kyle will give Phyllis updates on his do-over wedding surprise for Summer.

After Kyle suggests he understands Phyllis’ protective side, she’ll appreciate that and act like she’s moving beyond her Diane issues.

Soon after on Monday’s Y&R episode, Jack will corner Phyllis and question how much of a role she played in Talia’s story.

Phyllis will lie right to Jack’s face about having nothing to do with it.

Over with Adam, he’ll find Nick Newman (Mark Grossman) on the GCAC rooftop and encourage him to talk to someone about killing Ashland Locke (Robert Newman).

Adam will acknowledge his own inner demons and won’t want Nick to end up like him.

Although Nick won’t want to discuss this with a therapist, he’ll at least open up to Nikki about his guilt.

Nikki will wonder why Nick won’t let go of his burden, so he’ll admit he’s perhaps treating it like a penance.

In the park, Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will plan to treat Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) with a fancy picnic.

When Abby opens the basket, she’ll realize she grabbed the one with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor’s (Rainn and River Ware) kid-friendly snacks instead.

Chance won’t mind and will happily enjoy some cute moments with Abby.

Once they make love in their bedroom later, they’ll discuss what Abby’s ideal normal life would look like.

Abby will confess that she’d imagine Chance skipping the risker cases.

After Abby hints about the tension Chance comes home with sometimes, he’ll worry that she’s feeling neglected.

Abby will deny that, but she’ll think it’s important to make their relationship a priority.

The conversation will leave Chance looking a bit worried as Abby walks away.

Back with Kyle, he’ll call a party planner and nearly get caught by Summer.

Although Kyle will admit he’s working on a surprise, he’ll insist that’s all Summer’s going to get out of him!

At Jabot again, Diane will look uneasy over Phyllis chuckling with Jack about a work idea. Phyllis will touch Jack as they laugh, so Diane won’t be pleased.

Moments later, Diane will text back her partner in crime about things being precarious. After warning this person not to contact her, Diane will hit send.

In Sally’s office, she’ll complain about Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) going behind her back with Adam.

Chloe will insist she was only trying to help, but Sally won’t like how evil and calculating Chloe makes Adam out to be.

Nevertheless, Chloe will argue that Adam never had a good example of love – and she won’t think that’s a good mix for Sally since she likes a challenge.

Once Sally heads to the park, she’ll see Adam there.

Adam will assure Sally that she can define forgiveness however she’d like, but she’ll remain hurt over his unilateral move and worry it could happen again.

After Sally shuts down the conversation for now, she’ll race off and leave Adam looking disheartened.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will keep moving forward and hold out hope that Sally comes around.
