The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) may make a cheating discovery, so he could use Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) betrayal with Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) against his cousin.
Things have been tense between Devon and Nate ever since the latter almost took over Chancellor-Winters with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Nate won’t come right out and admit Victoria was the CEO he worked with, so that’s adding to Devon’s anger.
Devon can tell Victoria must’ve been the one coming after Chancellor-Winters, so he was irritated over Nate being rewarded for his silence.
From Devon’s perspective, it looks like Nate got a shiny new CEO position at Newman Media as a consolation prize.
Despite Nate’s attempts to patch things up or at least work toward healing their relationship, Devon isn’t ready for that.
In fact, Devon doesn’t envision a day when he’ll ever be able to move past Nate betraying his family in such a cold and calculating way.
All of this will fuel more conflict between Nate and Devon during the week of December 12-16.
Y&R spoilers say Nate will intentionally rile Devon up, so we have to consider how he might do that.
Nate’s going to goad Devon somehow, so there’s a chance he’ll discover the cheating shocker.
That secret could easily fall into Nate’s lap and leave him with a way to get under Devon’s skin.
Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) knows Devon cheated on Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) with Abby, who is now getting a divorce from Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).
It’d be simple for Nate to find out too if he overhears a conversation between Lily and Devon that isn’t meant for his ears.
Of course, Nate won’t go shouting this from the rooftops because he genuinely cares about Abby and considers her a friend.
Still, that won’t stop Nate from using this secret to push Devon to his breaking point all over again.
Nate may argue that Devon likes to judge others for their mistakes when he’s making the biggest ones of all behind closed doors!
Devon may fume once Nate gets in his face about this, so Lily might find herself having to play referee to avoid a full-blown brawl.
In other words, Nate could get his hands on Devon’s cheating secret and use it against him – at least in a sense of doing some button-pushing.
