The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the next two weeks, August 19 to August 26, tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will carry out a wicked scheme while Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is tempted to confess. Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will also doubt Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) commitment, so here’s what viewers can look forward to.
During the week of August 15-19, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will play hardball with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), who’ll have some incriminating security footage thanks to Kevin Fisher’s (Greg Rikaart) enhancement.
Victor will resort to some emotional manipulation and try to make Chance consider what he’d do if Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) had been forced to kill Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan). Would Chance object to Victor covering for Abby in that case?
Chance won’t be pleased over Victor’s hypothetical situation and will become even more determined to pursue justice.
That means Victor will need a new plan to keep himself and the rest of the involved Newmans out of prison, so he’ll push them to get on board.
Over with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), she’ll have her first official day at Marchetti and look forward to plotting Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) destruction.
Later, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will recruit some help for their Diane exposure mission.
Talia Morgan (Natalie Morales) is an investigative reporter who’ll love the idea of doing a scandalous story on Diane’s resurrection.
As part of that story, Talia will plan to dig into Diane’s past as Taylor Jensen.
However, there’ll be someone who eventually hinders Talia’s plan – and that’ll hinder Nikki, Phyllis and Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) plan, too.
Next, Diane will make a vow to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), so that’ll no doubt involve her desire to stay on this better path.
Jack can appreciate the changes he’s been seeing in Diane and is starting to believe she might actually have turned over a new leaf.
Diane has proven to be a doting “Didi” to Harrison, so she’ll continue to bond with Jack as grandparents.
However, Diane will also dare to dream of a future with Jack, so she’ll hope to make that a reality someday.
As for Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), their romantic night will come with a shocker.
Kyle and Summer’s evening together will head in a surprising direction, so we’ll see if that’s related to their moms or maybe even something like a pregnancy bombshell.
Other Y&R spoilers say Lily will fret over Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) worsening feud.
Lily will also find herself questioning whether Billy is as committed to the COO position as he claims to be.
At Newman Enterprises, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will pitch Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) on the idea of telling Johnny Abbott (last played by Holden and Ryan Hare) that she’s his bio mom.
Chelsea will want Johnny and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) to bond as half-brothers, too.
Victoria will get uncomfortable over the idea and argue that the timing is bad since Johnny is still struggling over the loss of Ashland Locke (Robert Newman).
It’s a complicated time for Johnny – and it’d become even more complicated if Chelsea got her wish right now.
Chelsea will sense that this could turn into a major confrontation, so she’ll back off for the time being and hope they can revisit her request later.
As for Abby, she’ll catch Chance in a compromising situation and no doubt worry about some of her closest family members landing behind bars.
Chance will be on the verge of proving the truth, so Abby will fret over her husband’s pursuit of justice.
Nick will contemplate confessing the cover-up to the cops just to end this nightmare, but he should ultimately keep his mouth shut.
During the week of August 22-26, Adam will stir up trouble. We’ll see Adam form a dirty plan – one that’ll involve some help from a minion named Lucas (Aaron Schwartz).
Adam will have a shady assignment for Lucas, who’ll be happy to do whatever his new boss wants.
Once Victor realizes Adam is plotting something, he’ll lash out over his son’s lack of loyalty.
Will Adam obtain blackmail material thanks to Lucas? Time will tell, but he’ll definitely hope to gain an advantage here.
Back with Phyllis, she’ll cross paths with someone and form a new friendship.
Phyllis also happens to be someone who’s always working an angle, so this new friend of hers could lead to more Diane drama.
Finally, Chelsea will go too far. After Chelsea steps out of bounds, it could lead to problems with Billy and Victoria.
If Chelsea tries to move ahead with telling Johnny the truth about her bio mom status, Victoria and Billy may fight back.
It could lead to Chelsea’s position as a podcast co-host landing in jeopardy.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea will make some waves no matter what, so stay tuned.
