The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the next two weeks, May 9 to May 20, tease that we’ll see Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) homecoming while Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) faces life without Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will also have new orders for Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc), so let’s talk about what’s in store.
During the week of May 9-13, Allie Nguyen’s (Kelsey Wang) surprise arrival will serve as a nice mood booster after all the Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) drama.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will make sure Allie feels welcome, but she’ll deal with some strong emotions and continue to miss her dad, Keemo Nguyen (Philip Moon).
Diane will hold out hope that Kyle will give her a real chance to prove herself, but she’ll worry about the naysayers getting to him.
However, Kyle will deliver an ultimatum to Diane and try to make peace with having her in his life again.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will also have a tense encounter with Diane, so she’ll continue to face the usual backlash all over town.
Although Victor will be impressed with the strength Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) has shown, he’ll offer some extra support as she copes with the whole Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) situation.
Victoria will rip into Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) over the podcast that trashed Ashland, but she’ll also remove the necklace Ashland gave her as a gift and keep trying to move forward.
As for Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), she’ll be concerned over Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) new attitude now that he’s a key player at Chancellor Winters.
Nate will change in ways that Elena disapproves of, so some relationship issues will start to surface.
Next, Chelsea will continue to grieve for Rey, so that’ll bring some tough moments as she tries to find closure.
Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) has been concerned about Chelsea spinning out – and things could get worse if Chelsea doesn’t get a grip on her emotions.
Over with Victor, he’ll have another risky assignment for Michael.
When Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) hears the news, she’ll be fed up with all the danger and will voice her disapproval.
Michael will also reconnect with Diane while Nick tries to decide what he’ll do about Ashland’s $250 million offer for New Hope.
Sharon will come home from Rey’s Miami funeral and weigh in on Nick’s moral dilemma, so that’ll lead to her slamming Ashland for his mistakes and weak attempt to make amends.
Nevertheless, Nick will likely accept the money for the sake of the community and hope Victoria doesn’t let this sway her on forgiving Ashland’s atrocious behavior.
As Friday the 13th arrives, so will Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) wedding day.
Crystal Porter (Morgan Obenreder) will reunite with Tessa and carry out maid of honor duties as the nuptials get underway.
The wedding will continue during the week of May 16-20, so look for Tessa and Mariah to walk down the aisle before some special vows.
Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will officiate the ceremony and help “Teriah” tie the knot.
Mariah and Tessa will make their marriage official before Kyle considers what his own future holds.
Now that Diane is back and hoping to build a relationship with him, Kyle will have to make some decisions about where he’ll live.
Kyle has been living in Italy with Summer and Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez), but it looks like he’ll decide it might be time for a change – that is if Kyle can get Summer on board with moving back to Genoa City.
Summer’s return is rapidly approaching, so it looks like Allison Lanier will make her debut right around this time.
After Summer joins Kyle in Genoa City, he may pitch the idea of turning this trip home into a permanent stay in GC.
Back with Chloe, she’ll be on a mission to help Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) find a fresh start.
Kate Linder’s 40th anniversary with the show is coming up, so Y&R will honor Esther’s past and perhaps hint at new love in her future.
