The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) may threaten to quit if Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) gets fired. Will Nick play hardball with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle)?
Victor has already indicated that he has no use for Sally, who was unable to convince Adam to return to Newman Enterprises.
Sally also doesn’t bring much experience to the table and has a history of treating Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) poorly, so it’s easy to see why Victor disapproves.
However, Sally has proven her loyalty to the Newman family as far as Nick is concerned.
Nick was impressed with the way Sally handled all the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) drama, especially since she declined to publish the more scandalous details.
Sally even went to Victoria when Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) tried to get her on his side for a revenge plot.
Victoria appreciated that as well, but she’s not as sold on Sally and could easily side with Victor if he pushes hard enough for the redhead to get the boot.
After all, Victoria assured Victor that he was her most trusted advisor and vowed to listen to his guidance.
At her core, Victoria wants to please her father and may back Victor up if he stands his ground on replacing Sally as Newman Media’s CEO.
Victoria only agreed to let Sally do a trial run anyway, so she may feel justified in knocking Sally off the throne.
Nick, on the other hand, might feel strongly enough to threaten to quit in solidarity.
Y&R fans are seeing the beginning of a strong bond between Nick and Sally, so he won’t stand by and let the other Newmans force her out.
Nick could deliver an ultimatum and vow to resign as Newman Enterprises’ COO if Sally is fired first.
If Nick goes to such great lengths to save Sally’s job, she may find out about it and view him as her hero.
