The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) may face a double arrest. Will Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) blame both of these Newmans for the deadly cover-up?
Chance is already suspicious of the Newman clan and what they might be keeping under wraps.
Nick offered up Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) ring after finding it on the floor at Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) place, but that doesn’t seem like enough to convince the detective that Nick isn’t involved.
We’ve already seen Chance smugly put Nick on the hot seat, so he seems to think Nick knows more than he’s letting on.
Chance certainly thinks Victor is hiding something – and he’s right about that!
Since the medical examiner couldn’t definitively confirm Ashland’s fatal injury was caused by the crash, Chance still thinks Nick’s punch was the culprit.
That brings questions about why there was a cover-up if this was just a case of defending Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Y&R fans know it wasn’t quite that simple since Nick actually lashed out in anger.
When Nick learned Ashland put his hands on Victoria, it resulted in Nick decking Ashland and knocking him into the fireplace.
Ashland had no pulse after hitting his head and ended up in a pool of his own blood.
It wasn’t actually a case of Victoria being in danger at that exact moment, so Nick might get flustered enough to admit that at some point.
Regardless, Victor made it look like they had something to hide by staging this ravine crash and may not get away with the cover-up like he planned.
Could Chance arrest both Victor and Nick by the end of all this?
Y&R put the jail set back up for Ashland’s time behind bars, so they have a prime opportunity to use it again.
Nick and Victor may wind up blaming each other once this situation heads downhill fast.
As for Chance, he may hold both Victor and Nick responsible for this deadly Ashland cover-up.
Even Victoria could land in hot water, so this is definitely a major Newman crisis that’ll bring some serious drama.
