The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) may get a new love interest. Is a fresh start romance what this schemer really needs to move forward?
Once Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) came back to town, Phyllis became consumed by her hatred and desire for revenge – so much so that she destroyed her relationship with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
There’s always a chance that Phyllis and Jack will reunite down the road, but things may get worse between them in the meantime. Phyllis is cooking up a plot to sabotage Diane at Marchetti, so Jack certainly won’t approve once he finds out.
That’s especially true since Phyllis could be putting Marchetti as well as Jabot at risk. Phyllis feels confident that Diane is the only one that’ll get hurt in all this, but her plan may go horribly wrong.
Since Phyllis is a walking disaster, it’s tough to believe her scheme will end in anything but catastrophe! There could be some serious consequences for Jack’s company – not to mention this will affect Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) in a big way.
Phyllis could create a ton of blowback and make Summer collateral damage – just like Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) predicted. All signs point to Phyllis creating a total mess, so Jack may not want her back anytime soon.
Phyllis and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) aren’t in each other’s orbits at all, so there won’t be an imminent reunion for them either. If Phyllis is going to find love, it may have to be with someone new.
Trevor St. John will make his Y&R debut in a mysterious role this fall, so he might be a good option for Phyllis. If St. John’s character ends up having ties to Diane, it’s easy to see how this could lead to a Phyllis romance.
It could be a situation where this guy got burned by Diane out in Los Angeles and is just as determined to take her down as Phyllis is. Phyllis could use someone to bond with when it comes to her Diane disdain and desire to get rid of her.
If Phyllis can find a man who supports and understands her Diane takedown efforts, he just might be her perfect match. That said, it’d be nice to see Phyllis build a real romance and realize there’s more to life than making Diane miserable!
