We know for sure that Rey is exiting – and death seems likely under the circumstances.

There’d be some great drama to play either way, but let’s consider for a moment that they’ll drag this out a bit.

It’s easy to imagine Rey recruiting Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) or even Chelsea to help with a little parting gift for Sharon.

There’s always been a big emphasis on the Miami honeymoon that Rey and Sharon enjoyed together.
Rey even planned a date night at Society centered around those memories once, so Y&R has played this up as their special thing.
Maybe Rey will try to recreate their Miami honeymoon in his hospital room as sort of a dying wish.
Rey might know he’s fading fast and just want to embrace this one last chance at romance with Sharon.
That could explain the stunning invitation and bring some happy moments that turn into somber ones as Rey passes away.
It’d be nice to get this closure for Rey and Sharon, especially since they haven’t received much airtime lately.
Rey’s deadly exit is coming out of nowhere, so it’d be good to at least give it some attention and offer a proper sendoff.
