The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) may quit her job to prove her love for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Sally will make a grand gesture to show what really matters to her, so walking away from the Newman Media CEO position would be a great way to pull that off.
Y&R fans know Sally has been unbelievably frustrated with Adam, who keeps pushing her away.
Adam wants Sally to believe she’s the source of all his problems and has repeatedly urged her to move on with her life.
However, Sally can tell Adam loves her deep down and will soon do something bold to show what’s in her heart.
It’ll be a last-ditch effort to convince Adam that they belong together.
In the July 26 episode, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) suggests Sally will have to find a way to prove that Adam matters more than her job.
The easiest strategy here would be for Sally to resign from the Newman Media CEO position.
It’s one thing for Sally to keep saying she doesn’t want that job over Adam, but it’s quite another to actually quit.
Sally believes Adam is doing all this to protect her role at the company, so she’ll be taking the decision out of his hands if she ditches the Newman Media throne.
Of course, it’s possible Sally will simply claim she’s resigned and act like it’s a done deal. It could serve as a test to see how Adam will react.
If Adam backs down and admits he still loves Sally, maybe they could simply sneak around while Sally keeps her job after all.
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) can’t hold it against Sally if she doesn’t know about it!
Y&R seems to have a story in place with Sally facing this 90-day trial period and hiring Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) as her COO.
There’s a chance Sally will pretend to quit, get the reaction she wants out of Adam and then carry on a secret romance with him.
On the other hand, it’d make a bigger statement and put more on the line if Sally actually leaves Newman Media behind.
Perhaps it could pave the way for other opportunities – like Sally becoming Marchetti’s new designer.
Regardless, Sally will work to prove the depth of her love and count on Adam to accept this opportunity for a fresh start.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will have to make some tough decisions as Sally pleads for their future, so stay tuned.
