The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) may spy on Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) next, which could lead to her reporting his fake illness to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Will Sally get sneaky again and offer up ammo to burn Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle)?
Y&R fans know Adam acted like he approved of Sally spying on Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), but he lashed out over it once Billy admitted his plan on the January 6 episode.
Of course, Adam was probably more frustrated with himself for buying Billy’s bogus downfall.
Even so, Adam made it crystal clear that the whole spying thing was done and warned Sally to concentrate on doing the job she was paid to do.
Naturally, we doubt Sally’s going to listen. When has Sally ever done what she was told? In fact, forbidding something only makes Sally want to do it more.
Since there’s been so much emphasis on Sally as a spy, perhaps Y&R will keep that theme going.
Billy pointed out that Sally might’ve gotten away with her spy games if it hadn’t been for that ridiculous disguise, so maybe Sally will ditch the conspicuous look and go for something a little more discreet.
Sally might also take a smarter approach – this time while targeting Victoria and Ashland as the biggest threat to Newman Media.
Since Sally is invested in protecting the fashion platform and wants to impress Adam, she may take it upon herself to bug Victoria’s office or something along those lines.
Imagine Sally’s shock if she overhears Ashland in a private moment talking about his illness being a scam.
Sally might listen in on one of Ashland’s clandestine phone calls since we all know how he loves making those.
Victoria wants to get her hands on Newman Media and stick it to Adam, so she’s hoping she’s found a way to get Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) on her side.
Whether that plan works or not, Adam is sure to find out about it and will know this means war.
Adam might even approve of Sally coming out of spy retirement for this.
One way or another, Adam will realize he’ll need leverage to protect his role at Newman Media.
If Victoria’s takeover scheme succeeds, then Adam’s going to need a bombshell to retaliate with.
Sally’s ammo could come in handy in either scenario – and what better ammo than to find out a secret that could destroy the empire Victoria has created?
If the world learns Ashland duped Victoria into a speedy marriage and company merger using a fake illness, that could ruin Victoria’s savvy business reputation.
It would also hurt Victoria personally, and she’s indeed making this battle personal by trying to hurt Adam. Will Sally help Adam hurt Victoria right back?
Whatever the case, Ashland hasn’t been entirely honest with Victoria.
There’s something Ashland has been hiding since before the wedding, and we’re betting it’s the fact that he faked his illness.
That makes sense considering Ashland is suddenly beating the odds with this suspicious miracle cure from Peru.
