The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) may be signing up for a doomed romantic future. Will “Saint Nick” aka Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) disappoint her just like Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) did?
Sally was burned big time by Adam, who dumped her and acted like his feelings were gone. The worst part is Sally knew the truth for so long and struggled to get Adam to admit it.
Since that was such a painful ordeal, it’s easy to see why Sally would be drawn to Nick now. Sally’s wounds are still fresh when it comes to Adam, who hurt her deeply despite his heart being in the right place.
Adam just wanted to protect Sally’s job, but he now sees that he should’ve been a team with her instead of deciding he knew best. Unfortunately, Sally is focusing on the chaotic conflict instead of the love and acceptance she felt when she was with Adam.
Nick is now this beacon of stability in Sally’s eyes, but what she’s really saying is he’s safe and boring! It’s tough to believe Nick will really be able to satisfy Sally’s wild side.
Nevertheless, Sally has apparently convinced herself that Nick is enough for her. We’d say Sally is making the wrong choice since Nick isn’t as stable as he seems.
Nick has certainly done his fair share of cheating over the years, so Sally needs to keep that in mind. We’ve also seen that Nick can be judgmental at times, so what happens if Sally does something Nick disapproves of?
Nick and Sally could fall apart just like Nick and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) did once they were no longer on the same page. Sally seems to think Nick can provide a drama-free romance, but is any romance ever really drama-free on Y&R?
Now that Sally is putting Nick on this pedestal, she’s setting both of them up for a huge fall. Nick may make some major mistakes and leave Sally devastated in the process.
Is Sally’s romantic future with Nick doomed? Will Sally ultimately see that Nick’s capable of disappointing her just like Adam did in their previous relationship?
In the end, maybe Sally will realize she should’ve followed her heart back to Adam since Nick isn’t as saintly as she’s making him out to be. We’ll deliver updates as other Y&R news pops up.
