The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) may discover Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) dangerous crush on Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). Will Sharon warn her rival away from her husband?
Y&R fans know Sharon already seems on guard whenever Chelsea and Rey chat.
Sharon wants to believe Chelsea is truly doing better and that she’s on the right path, but she’ll always be a little wary.
That’s especially true when Chelsea is practically flirting with Rey and getting too close for comfort.
Sharon certainly seems concerned over how easy it is for Chelsea to get swept up in conversations with Rey – and she can tell Rey enjoys Chelsea’s company, too.
Of course, men and women are allowed to be friends.
Sharon also doesn’t want to be some jealous and paranoid wife, particularly after nearly breaking up her marriage through her own pull toward Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
At the same time, Sharon can’t ignore what’s right in front of her. As Chelsea and Rey’s bond continues to grow, so will Sharon’s fears.
We can’t forget that Chelsea poisoned Rey as part of a plot to frame Adam for attempted murder.
That alone is enough to make Sharon uneasy since Chelsea has proven she’s capable of anything – at least when she’s struggling with mental and emotional issues.
Sharon can’t know for sure that Chelsea has genuinely worked through everything to get better.
Regardless, there may also be a little piece of Sharon that just wants to mark her territory.
Rey is the guy who stood by Sharon through breast cancer and helped her break Adam’s hold on her.
Now Sharon and Rey’s marriage is on solid ground – or so she thinks!
Rey actually feels like more of an outsider than he’s letting on.
Rey’s also downplaying how much he wanted to be a dad, so there’s the potential for major trouble here.
It may not be long until Rey reciprocates Chelsea’s feelings, but Sharon may ultimately look at it as a one-sided crush for now.
Sharon might even overhear Chelsea confiding her burning desires to Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) or confessing that steamy dream she had of kissing Rey.
One way or another, Sharon may realize how Chelsea feels and confront her about it.
Perhaps Sharon will give Chelsea a reality check and warn her to back off since Rey’s a married man!
