The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will continue to bond now that he’s moving on from Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway).
Although Abby was heartbroken by Chance’s divorce decision, he felt their relationship was doomed from the get-go.
Chance will always be part of the picture for Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware), but he’s disconnected from his feelings for Abby.
Now that Chance has moved out, the healing process can begin. Y&R is clearly working toward a new love story for Sharon and Chance, but is that really the right call?
It just feels like a “been there, done that” sort of thing for Sharon, who has already dated nice guy cops before.
How will this be any different than Sharon’s boring relationship with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), which didn’t sizzle much at all?
Sharon was also with Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton) once upon a time, so she’s been down this road with detectives too many times. I
t might be time to make some updates to Sharon’s type and break the mold.
Plus, Sharon has a good heart and is nothing but helpful these days.
Since Sharon has become such an unproblematic character, she could benefit from falling for someone messy.
Putting two pleasant enough characters together doesn’t generate much buzz or give the writers very many places to go.
It seems like Sharon and Chance are being paired up due to lack of options more than anything.
Maybe the show would be better off casting a bad boy love interest instead of sticking Sharon with Dudley Do-Right characters and lackluster romances.
It’d be great to see Sharon get tangled up in some real drama for a change!
Nevertheless, Y&R appears to be set on Sharon and Chance as a pairing for now, so they’ll keep growing closer.
Chance will lean on Sharon more and more as they inch toward some flying sparks.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon could use more airtime and fresh storylines, so we can always hope for better news and possibilities.
