The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) love life will blossom once she finally puts Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) in the rearview mirror. A romantic shakeup seems to be in the works for Sharon, so let’s talk about her situation and what’s still to come.
Y&R faced a bit of a dilemma due to Sharon’s breast cancer storyline. Rey stood by her through that difficult ordeal, so that meant “Shey” needed to stick together in the aftermath.
It would’ve been out of character for Sharon to recover and dump the guy who supported her every step of the way!
However, enough time has passed for Y&R to break Sharon and Rey up without it being outrageous.
Although Rey and Sharon are trying to keep the romance alive, sometimes it feels like they’re just going through the motions.
Sharon and Rey are struggling to find time for date nights – and even when they do steal little “Shey” moments, they feel somewhat forced.
Of course, the show is also really focusing on Sharon’s enduring bond with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and just how strong that pull is.
A Nick and Sharon reunion appears to be in the works – and “Shick” fans certainly won’t mind!
They’re one of those soap couples that always comes back around.
Maybe Sharon and Nick could even make it stick for good this time. There has to be a reason that Nick and Sharon always end up drawn together once again.
Sharon understands Nick like no one else and always makes him feel comfortable enough to confide things.
Likewise, Sharon knows she can turn to Nick for help with almost anything.
There’s a lot of rich history to draw from, but there’s also a chance for this to be a clean slate.
Nick and Sharon are older and hopefully a bit wiser now.
No one is ever truly going to learn all the right lessons in love on a soap, but it’d be nice to see Sharon and Nick really commit to a long-term reunion.
Nick is all about family these days, so it’s easy to see the pieces coming together for him to put his family back together with Sharon.
Rey feels like he’s on the outside of that family to some degree, so that offers a good excuse for Sharon and Rey to keep drifting apart.
Sharon seems to be on a new romantic path at this point.
Sharon’s love life should really blossom once she puts Rey behind her and gets another pairing to play for a while.
