The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that we have to ask: Should Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) ditch both Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow)? Is it time for Sally to move on with a new man and escape this brother love triangle?
There’s no denying that Adam screwed up spectacularly when he lied to Sally and pushed her away.
Adam pretended he wasn’t in love with Sally anymore and hurt her deeply since she knew that just wasn’t true.
It was all a misguided effort to save Sally’s job, but Adam should’ve been honest and trusted Sally with the real story.
Instead, Adam thought he knew best, so he broke Sally’s heart and left her feeling like a fool.
Adam treated Sally like a child to be coddled when she’s never given him any indication that she was someone who needed protection.
Now Adam is paying the price for his past actions since Sally just can’t risk another round of heartache.
Sally has become drawn to Nick’s kindness and stability, but can they really work long-term – especially with all the people who are bound to be against this pairing?
Nick feels confident that Sally and Summer Newman-Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) feud is water under the bridge, but Summer may not truly be over the past.
Sally played a huge role in driving Summer and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) apart, so that’s not something Summer can easily forgive and forget.
Even if Summer could, it’s weird for her own father to date her old enemy.
There’s also the matter of Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) disapproval – and Nick will always have to look over his shoulder when it comes to Adam as well.
There’s just so much Y&R drama for Sally and Nick to overcome if they expect to build a real future together.
Nick and Sally may be swept up in their feelings right now, but are they actually meant to last?
Sally might be better off breaking free from this love triangle and falling for someone new.
That could mean bringing in a new love interest for Sally, but there’s also the potential for a Sally and Kyle pairing once he inevitably splits from Summer.
The show has done some chemistry-testing when it comes to Sally and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) too, so that’s an option to keep in mind.
Regardless, it might be nice to see Sally escape this Newman brother mess, even if that means getting tangled in a new mess since that’s pretty much the norm in Genoa City.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sally will run away from a difficult situation during the week of October 17-21, so there’s a chance she might actually ditch the Newman brothers – at least for a little while!
