The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will inevitably be disgusted over Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) crossed line. Will this secret blow up at Summer and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) hometown wedding reception?
Kyle and Summer have a lovely vow renewal coming up, that part will probably go off without a hitch.
Since Summer and Kyle’s actual wedding ceremony was offscreen in Milan, this will serve as a nice do-over for “Skyle” fans.
However, the reception that follows will set the stage for major issues to erupt.
Y&R spoilers point to family drama exploding in more ways than one, so there’s the potential for Nick to play a role in the chaos.
At some point, Summer will inevitably find out about Nick hooking up with Sally.
Once that happens, Summer is sure to fly into a rage and put Nick on full blast.
Although Nick is an adult who’s free to make his own choices in his love life, Summer will obviously think he should be making better ones.
Sally worked with Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) and derailed Summer’s life spectacularly, so it’ll feel like a betrayal when she realizes Nick slept with the enemy.
Things worked out OK for Summer in the end, but there’s just no universe where she’ll be OK with Nick and Sally’s fling.
If Sally and Nick’s feelings grow into a real romance, that could make matters even worse. Regardless, the fact that Nick slept with Sally at all will cause problems.
Some secrets seem poised to unravel at Kyle and Summer’s wedding reception.
There’s a chance Summer will invite Sally to be nice – just as a peaceful gesture in hopes that they can move forward.
It’d be a smart move on Y&R’s part if they put Sally at the party with Nick.
That could lead to Summer slamming them both after overhearing something she shouldn’t – or maybe someone else could become privy and drop the bomb.
Regardless of where the backlash goes down, Summer will no doubt have her shot at ripping into Nick and Sally sooner or later.
