The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) may fight over Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) LA secrets. Will Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) investigator uncover damaging info?
Y&R fans know that Nikki initially turned to Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) for help with the investigation, but he wasn’t the best person for the job.
Michael considers Diane a friend and believes she deserves this fresh start.
Although Michael went to Diane and pushed her to come clean about anything she might be hiding, Diane insisted she was an open book.
Either Diane genuinely stayed out of trouble in Los Angeles or perhaps just thinks she covered her tracks well enough that she won’t get caught.
Nikki is counting on it to be the latter and has now turned to a new investigator for assistance – one who isn’t connected to Diane and has no reason to want to see the good in her like Michael.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is on Nikki’s side when it comes to Diane’s takedown and will be rooting for her investigator to come up with something incriminating.
What Nikki and Phyllis need is undeniable evidence that’ll make Kyle kick Diane to the curb.
Although there’s probably something in Diane’s LA background to find, that doesn’t mean Kyle will be so willing to turn against his mother.
Kyle wants to believe Diane has changed and may lash out if new proof comes to light.
Diane is a master at spinning things, so she may convince Kyle that anything nefarious is ancient history – not part of the future she wants to build now.
If Summer’s eyes are opened and she sides with Diane’s takedown team, that could lead to trouble.
Summer may finally support Phyllis and Nikki when it comes to pushing Diane out of the picture or at least taking a cautious step backward.
Kyle is used to Summer backing him up on this Diane issue, so there’ll be some marriage drama if she suddenly changes her stance.
That could indeed happen now that Y&R’s focusing on this LA angle and setting the stage for some potential Diane shockers to be exposed.
