The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will face tough times in the weeks ahead.
Phyllis Summer (Michelle Stafford) caused chaos when she conspired with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to run Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) out of town.
Kyle knows that his mother has made many mistakes, but he’s thrilled she is back in his life after thinking for many years that she had died.
Kyle missed so many holidays and special events, so he wants to protect her by any means necessary.
Young and the Restless spoilers state that Kyle can’t get over the fact that Summer’s mother, Phyllis, started this mess with Diane.
What’s even worse, Phyllis had his aunt Ashley’s help.
As much as Summer and Kyle try to keep the mama drama from interfering in their relationship, it will seep in and create a rocky marriage.
Summer loves her mother and sees why Phyllis despises Diane.
Y&R spoilers reveal that Summer has her own reservations about Diane’s honesty. However, she wants to stay neutral to keep the peace within her marriage.
The Young and Restless spoilers for the week of Jan 2 say that will be an impossible task as Summer expresses her frustration with Kyle to Daniel Romalotti, Jr (Michael Graziadei).
The lines will be drawn with Kyle and Summer taking opposite sides. Phyllis won’t back down because she’s confident she’s right about Diane and her motives.
Diane might be able to fool Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane, but Phyllis refuses to buy into the whole ‘I’m a changed woman” spiel. She thinks it’s an act, suggesting Diane is still the same vile, awful person she was.
Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Kyle will voice his concerns about Diane meeting with Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).
Kyle thinks it’s dangerous and wishes she would stay in the cabin where she is safe.
In the end, Kyle blames Phyllis for putting Diane’s life in danger. He believes Jeremy is a hardened criminal who wouldn’t hesitate to hurt Diane to keep her in line.
Whether that’s the truth or not, the Y&R viewers haven’t seen that side of Jeremy yet. We can’t forget that Diane is a woman who faked her own death and skipped most of her son’s life entirely.
Y&R fans, are you surprised Phyllis and Diane’s drama will create tension in Skyle’s marriage and possibly lead to a split between Summer and Kyle?
