The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, April 28 Recap – Rey’s Heart Attack Cause of Death – Adam Comforts Sharon

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 28, teases that Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) heart attack will be revealed as his cause of death – and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will comfort sad Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case). Here’s how Thursday’s Y&R drama will play out.

At Crimson Lights, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will be frustrated over Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) not returning his calls, texts or emails.

When Billy wants to team up with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) to get Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) far away from Victoria, Lily won’t think that’s their responsibility.

Instead, Lily will urge Billy to avoid obsessing about Ashland and focus on their own future since they have a big meeting coming up.

Billy will decide Lily is right, so he’ll agree to leave tearing Ashland apart to the Newmans.

In Victoria’s office, she’ll be haunted by the crash as she thinks back to it.

Ashland will show up to see for himself how Victoria’s doing, so she’ll admit to replaying the events in her mind.

Victoria will wonder what would’ve happened if Ashland hadn’t been following her.

Victoria will consider the possibility that she would’ve died alone like Rey – or maybe the crash never would’ve happened at all.

Victoria will also ask herself what would’ve happened if she never met Ashland. She’ll wonder if Rey would be alive and home with his family right now.

Ashland will talk about replaying some things as well and will keep hoping for one perfect moment of forgiveness.

Ashland will insist he loves Victoria more than ever despite what’s broken down between them.

Victoria will argue that it didn’t break down and will snap that it was never real to begin with.

Victoria will admit she still loves Ashland, but she won’t be able to get rid of all the pain, anger and hurt either.

Victoria won’t be able to take it anymore and will just want to feel normal again.

Before Ashland can keep pleading his case, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will arrive to ask questions about the case.

Ashland will worry that it’s become an investigation and will question if Chance thinks this was anything more than a tragic accident.

Chance won’t want Victoria to relive the horrors, but Victoria will insist she’s fine.

Chance will hear what Victoria remembers, but Ashland will mostly take over and share what happened from his perspective.

It won’t make sense to Chance that Rey stayed in the wrong lane and didn’t try to avoid a collision.

Chance will point out that Rey had extensive training when it came to driving in dangerous conditions.

Nevertheless, Ashland won’t know what to tell Chance and will maintain that’s how the accident went down.

After Chance gets a notification on his phone, he’ll vow to be in touch if he has any more questions and take off.

Ashland will then notice the missing portrait, so Victoria will confess to destroying it.

After Ashland brings up the moment when he believed they could have a fresh start, he won’t think that was truly manipulation.

Ashland will be willing to do whatever it takes to get back to that moment and will leave Victoria looking pensive as he goes.

At home, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will be surprised when Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) suggests Ashland might’ve caused the crash.

Once Elena gives Nate a new tie for his first official day as a member of the Chancellor Winters team, she’ll put it on him.

Elena will admit she’s still getting used to the idea of Nate being in this executive role, but she’ll support him since he’ll still feel it’s the right call.

Next, Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) will join Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) as they gear up for their business meeting.

When Imani learns Nate is going to be there, she’ll be quite pleased.

Devon will point out that Nate is in a committed relationship with Elena, but Amanda won’t think Imani cares.

However, Imani will contend that she’s very interested in the health and the future of Nate’s romance with Elena.

After Imani promises to be professional, she’ll add that there’s no harm in a little flirting.

Imani will indeed flirt with Nate once he shows up, but they’ll all get down to business once Lily and Billy arrive.

When Nate proposes the idea of a big merger party to celebrate this fresh start, Devon won’t really like it.

Devon also won’t want to be in the spotlight with Lily, but she’ll insist that they’re a team now and will get the rest of the gang to back her up.

At the cottage, Sharon will be upset as she looks at Rey’s mug and finds one of his boots. She’ll answer the door and find Adam there to offer his condolences.

After Adam admits he waited until Sharon was alone to approach her, she’ll think being alone is something she needs to get used to.

Sharon will put on a brave face, but Adam will think she’s giving him a “load of crap” and will want to hear how she really feels.

Once Sharon cries over being treated like porcelain, she’ll confess that she’s crushed, gutted and angry.

Sharon will also have to ask why a worthless piece of filth like Ashland is alive while a good man like Rey is dead.

Adam will comfort Sharon with a warm embrace and remind her that it’s OK to be sad.

Adam won’t think anyone will judge Sharon if she sheds a few tears and will vow to always be there if she needs him.

Once Chance shows up, Adam will let him know he’s sorry about his partner.

Adam will leave Chance alone with Sharon, who’ll learn the truth about what happened that night.

According to the autopsy report, Rey’s cause of death wasn’t the car crash.

Chance will reveal that Rey had a heart attack behind the wheel.

Chance will mention that the coroner said it was very sudden and suggest Rey probably didn’t have time to feel anything.

Although Sharon has been saying all the right things, she’ll confess that she’s secretly been angry with Victoria and Ashland.

Sharon will think maybe she needed someone to blame, but Chance will insist that Rey’s heart simply started beating too fast.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon will keep trying to put one foot in front of the other, but she’s got a long road of grief ahead.
