The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, April 7 Recap – Ashland Sneaks in Adam’s Office to Plant Frame-Up Evidence

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 7, reveals that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) will sneak in Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) office for a frame-up – and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will deliver a warning regarding Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).

At Crimson Lights on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will voice their frustrations.

They’ll know Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is determined to handle things on her own and will truly hope whatever plan she’s cooking up against Ashland pays off.

In Victoria’s office, Ashland will get off the phone with the pilot and mention something about his tone.

Ashland will feel like the pilot seemed relieved, so Victoria will realize Victor was the one keeping the plane grounded.

Ashland will assure Victoria that they’re not staying in town because of Victor’s games.

Ashland will insist that they know who set him up and intend to prove it, but Victoria will remind Ashland that they don’t know for sure Adam is guilty.

Nevertheless, Ashland will assure Victoria that her hunch is a good one and will suggest Adam must’ve made a mistake in this mountain of incriminating evidence.

Victoria will act like anyone who would scheme at this level would have to think they were smarter than everyone else.

Victoria will be counting on that arrogance, so Ashland will seem a bit unsettled.

When Ashland worries his wife is doubting him, Victoria will contend that she wouldn’t be standing there strategizing if she thought he were guilty.

Ashland will ultimately insist he believes Victoria’s on his side and will act like this is just what Adam’s sick game is doing to them.

After Victoria sends Ashland home ahead of her, she’ll vow to summon the Newman clan and fill them in on their change of plans.

On the coffeehouse patio, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will talk to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) about his return to work and how he wants to get his life back on track.

Chance will also reflect on therapy and his complicated parenting situation.

Chance will admit that sometimes he feels like he’s never going to catch up and have the same bond that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) have with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware).

Rey will relate to that since Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is so close to his kids with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case). He’ll confess to still feeling on the outside.

At Society, Abby will cross paths with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), which will lead to a conversation about Adam.

After Abby suggests Chelsea will find a better match and someone more emotionally stable, Chelsea will keep finding ways to defend her ex.

Abby will be surprised over how protective Chelsea’s being, but Chelsea will point out that she has a lot of history with Adam.

Plus, Adam and Chelsea always share a bond through Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

Once Rey walks in with Chance, Chelsea will hand over the tickets to the Blackhawks game that Rey agreed to take Connor to.

Once Rey and Chelsea walk off together, Abby will marvel over their friendship and how things can change with time.

Connor will relay Rey’s earlier outsider confession to Abby, so she’ll be taken aback.

Abby will act like it’s only because Nick is so tight with his kids and will insist there’s enough love to go around.

As for Abby’s own family with Chance, they’ll both be happy about seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

At Newman Media, Adam will pitch the idea of consolidating and rebranding their video streaming business.

Victor will note that he put Adam in charge temporarily to prevent changes, not instigate them.

Sally will pipe up about how they can’t afford to delay this decision and will mention a real estate angle that Adam has in mind.

However, Victor will feel like Adam and Sally are trying to take advantage of the situation.

Victor will send Sally out and imply that she’s kissing up to Adam, but Adam will assure Victor that Sally is already honest and direct.

Victor will sense that Sally is eager for Adam to make his mark on Newman-Locke.

Victor will warn Adam not to get too close and will add that Adam should never confuse his professional life with his personal one.

Adam won’t get why they’re still talking about Sally when Ashland is the problem.

Adam will urge Victor to see that if Victoria’s plan goes wrong and they have to pivot, they’ll need a positive distraction like his big idea.

After Victor listens to a little more of the pitch, he’ll decide Adam should go for it and see what happens.

That’ll leave Adam pleasantly surprised that Victor caved in.

Back with Victoria, she’ll summon Nick, Victor and Adam to her office.

Victoria will mention how Victor grounded her plane deliberately to prevent the Tuscany trip, but she’ll think it worked out for the best.

Once Victoria says it won’t be necessary for Adam to step in as CEO, she’ll announce that she’s going to fill them all in on her plan.

Victoria will just want to wait on Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to get there first.

When Victor asks where Ashland is, Victoria will admit she’s not sure – though she’ll have a pretty good idea!

Meanwhile, Ashland will sneak in Adam’s office, don a pair of gloves and gaze at the laptop on the desk.

Ashland will smirk as he prepares to frame Adam and give Victoria the bogus proof she’s looking for.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Ashland is falling right into Victoria’s trap, but there are more curveballs ahead.
