The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, July 28, tease that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will suspect Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) plot while Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) connect over some advice.
Since Nick probably won’t get into the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) details with Sally, he may urge her to distract him with her own problems instead.
Sally might admit she couldn’t get Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to confess his true feelings and reveal that she’s throwing in the towel.
Nick may act like Adam has a habit of dragging people into painful situations and suggest it’s for the best.
However, Nick may not agree with Sally’s new decision to resign from Newman Media.
Sally will feel like the CEO job is tainted since it might’ve cost her a relationship with Adam, but Nick may not see it that way.
Why should Sally have to lose her career, too?
If Adam insists on being this stubborn, Sally might as well let this 90-day trial play out and prove herself.
Perhaps Nick will convince Sally to stay on board after all.
Although Sally may not know exactly what’s bothering Nick, she might trust that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is the kind of guy who can handle it.
Sally may realize it’s a family matter and wholeheartedly believe that Victor will take charge.
That’s indeed what Victor’s doing and will continue to do on Thursday, July 28.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor will get a grip on this Ashland-related crisis and protect all that’s dear to him.
Based on the latest hints from the show, it looks like Victor ordered his men to put Ashland’s dead body into his car and place it in a ravine.
Victor’s apparent cover-up could lead to some tricky situations and questions along the way.
Speaking of questions, Summer will have several when Phyllis announces she’s taking a break from the hotel business.
Phyllis will wonder if Summer still has a position open at Marchetti – maybe even the one in marketing that Summer offered before.
Of course, Summer will point out that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) just scored a job at Marchetti as well.
That’ll make Summer suspect that Diane has more to do with this than Phyllis’ sudden interest in the company.
Phyllis may act like she simply wants the chance to work with her daughter, but Summer will still have a hunch that her mom is scheming.
Y&R fans know Summer will be exactly right since the goal is to frame Diane as a Marchetti saboteur and get rid of her.
Following Ashland’s confirmed car discovery, Nick will have some terrible news to pass along.
That could mean Nick will give Summer updates on Ashland’s death since it’s going to be pretty terrible for Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez).
Summer and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will have to decide how to tell Harrison when the time comes, but they should focus on protecting him for now.
