The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, June 16 Recap – Victor’s Secret Plan to Destroy Ashland – Kyle’s CEO Offer

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, June 16, teases that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will hint at a secret plan to destroy Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) – and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will consider a new CEO offer.

At Society, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will fret over driving Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) away and will worry that she’ll never leave Ashland.

However, Victor will insist Ashland’s going to prove he’s a monster again and that Victoria will indeed come back.

Nikki won’t share Victor’s confidence, but he’ll remind her of the plan to put Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) on the throne and light a fire under Victoria.

Once Nikki worries Victoria might view it as more manipulation, she’ll consider the possibility that Victoria might be successful on her own.

Nikki will suggest that Victoria could eventually kick Ashland to the curb and find happiness – without Ashland and without her family.

Victor will ask if Nikki really thinks he’d let their daughter slip away, so she’ll realize he’s got another plan in mind.

After Victor talks about waiting for Victoria and Ashland to make their next move, he’ll hint about having more cards to play against Ashland then.

“Cards that will destroy that son of a bitch once and for all,” Victor will declare on Thursday’s Y&R episode.

At their temporary home in New York, Ashland will play up the new place he’s going to find with Victoria.

Although Ashland will be excited about their new life together, he’ll acknowledge this must scare Victoria and will understand everything she’s giving up.

Victoria will push past her fears and focus on plans for their new venture, which she’ll have some strong opinions about.

For starters, Victoria won’t want to name “Newman” anywhere near their company – and she’ll think a media entity is the way to go so they can slap down Adam’s media division.

After Victoria suggests she doesn’t want a standard media enterprise, she’ll talk about using her art background to bring the fine arts to the digital age.

Victoria will know Victor would hate it, but she won’t care what her father thinks anymore and will feel like she’s finally free from his shadow.

Once Victoria proclaims that she’s going to make her mark on the world, she’ll assure Ashland that it’ll be an indelible one.

Ashland will propose a toast and reflect on their freedom as well, so Victoria will smile – though her face will fall slightly while Ashland is pouring the wine.

At Newman Enterprises, Adam will take Victoria’s portrait down and suggest putting some modern art up in its place.

Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will gush over this new era of Newman Enterprises and will help Adam christen his new office with lovemaking.

At Crimson Lights, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will join Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) before Jack heads home.

That’ll leave Jill to quiz Diane about what she’s really after, but Diane will maintain that she’s all about reconnecting with Kyle.

Nevertheless, Jill will see the twinkle in Diane’s eye when she looks at Jack and will think he’s an eligible bachelor who checks off all the boxes.

Diane will spin this around and act like Jill might be the one interested in Jack, but Jill will dismiss the notion.

Instead, Jill will imagine Diane on Jack’s arm and suggest that’d go a long way toward proving she was worthy of forgiveness around town.

After Jill insists Diane would be sitting pretty, she’ll think that’d be a masterful move on Diane’s part.

From one conniver to another, Jill will wonder if Diane would say no if Jack suggested giving things another try.

Diane will admit that if something like that happened someday, she’d be a fool to turn Jack down.

At the Abbott house, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will fill Kyle in on a huge decision that Angelina Marchetti (Christina Serafina) made.

Once the sale goes through, Angelini is going to step down and take advantage of this chance to retire.

That means Marchetti will need someone else to run it, so Kyle will suggest Summer.

After Summer counters that she has no interest in the business side, she’ll think her brilliant husband should run Marchetti instead.

Kyle will argue that he can’t just abandon his role as Jabot’s co-CEO, but she won’t think he’ll be abandoning anything since it’ll still be working for the same place.

Although Kyle will like the idea of working with Summer, he’ll want to mull this over and discuss the possibility with Jack.

When Jack appears, Summer will give Kyle a nudge toward making his pitch right now.

Jack will get updates on Angelini’s plan to step down and the CEO spot that opens up.

Once Jack learns Kyle is thinking of taking it, he’ll support the idea of his son spreading his wings. That said, Jack would hate to lose Kyle as his co-CEO.

Kyle will point out that he doesn’t have to make this decision tonight, so talk will turn to Jack’s pleasant dinner with Diane.

Summer will think Jack would’ve rather had dinner with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), but he’ll act uncomfortable and spark more questions about what happened between them.

Jack will refuse to divulge any details, so Summer will end up frustrated once she’s alone with Kyle.

It’ll feel like this dark cloud is hanging over their celebration due to their feuding moms, but Kyle will convince Summer to focus on their own phenomenal futures.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle and Summer’s marriage will indeed be tested due to Diane and Phyllis’ conflict, so stay tuned.
