The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, June 16, tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will work to weaken Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) and Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) love while Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) has a proposal for Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to consider.
First, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will be ready to make a splash in their new CEO spots.
With Adam running Newman Enterprises and Sally running Newman Media, they’ll feel like an unstoppable force to be reckoned with.
However, Victor has an agenda since he wants Victoria back in Genoa City ASAP.
The reason Victor’s been so quick to put Adam on the throne is because he assumes it’ll spark a reaction in Victoria.
Victor wants Victoria to come running home following this CEO change, so his ulterior motives are messy and could do even more damage to the Newman family.
Nevertheless, Victor will hope to use this and perhaps some other tricks he has up his sleeve.
Y&R spoilers say Victor will try to weaken Ashland and Victoria’s relationship, so he’ll really put their love to the test.
Viewers will see Victoria and Ashland in their new place, but it could be a temporary apartment until they can truly settle down in New York.
Once the CEO news spreads, Ashland will no doubt ask how Victoria feels about it.
Since Ashland seems truly concerned about Victoria and the toll all this is taking, he should wonder if she has regrets about quitting and cutting Newman ties.
Victoria will maintain that she’s all in with Ashland, but she might have a change of heart about bolting from GC eventually.
It’s easy to imagine Victoria deciding they should hold their heads high and do whatever they want – whether her family approves or not.
Whatever the case, Victoria will be back in Genoa City in the not-too-distant future, so Victor’s plan may work on some level.
This could set the stage for some Newman negotiations and give Victoria a risky path forward with Ashland – at least for a while.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer’s proposal will catch Kyle off guard.
It turns out Marchetti will need someone new to run the show now that Jabot is buying it and relocating from Milan.
Summer will encourage Kyle to run Marchetti himself, so he may be tempted.
This could offer a new challenge while Summer works closely with her hubby as Marchetti’s creative director.
Kyle will have to give the idea some thought, so he’ll do some contemplating and celebrate his success with Summer in the meantime.
Summer and Kyle will share a toast, so they’ll clink glasses and look forward to their bright future together.
Unfortunately, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is sure to throw more hurdles in Kyle and Summer’s direction down the road.
