The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, June 9 Recap – Kyle Rescues Chelsea – Billy Vows Custody Fight Over Ashland

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, June 9, reveals that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will vow a custody fight over “that monster” Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) while Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) rescues Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) from an Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) argument.

In Ashland’s suite, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will refuse to let Ashland take Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) away from her family.

Victor will act like he knew about Ashland’s shady activities early on and will only regret letting Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) call the ambulance for him after his heart attack. “I should’ve let you croak!” Victor will insist.

Ashland will contend that love triumphs over all and will think Victor only has himself to blame for driving Victoria away.

Victor will declare that this isn’t over before leaving in a huff.

Meanwhile, Billy will get Victoria to admit that she’s forgiven Ashland and is leaving town with him.

That’ll send Billy flying into a rage as he puts his foot down regarding Johnny Abbott (Ryan and Holden Hare) and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri).

Billy will insist he doesn’t want his kids anywhere near “that monster,” but Victoria will point out that their lives won’t immediately be disrupted since they’re at boarding school.

Besides, Victoria won’t think this is Billy’s call since they have joint custody.

Billy will remind Victoria that their agreement is based on the two of them living in the same city and will plan to fight her motion to move out of state.

After Billy declares that he’s not letting Victoria take their children out of Genoa City, he’ll remind her of Kyle’s restraining order to protect Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez).

That’s a matter of public record, so Billy will wish Victoria good luck getting a court to ignore it.

Victoria will finally decide her expectations were too high since she thought Billy would be rational.

As Victoria starts to leave, Billy will chase after her and insist she’s making a mistake.

Billy will argue that Ashland crossed a line that there’s no coming back from, so he’ll refuse to let Victoria’s bad choices affect his kids and will vow to fight her on this.

In the park on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Adam will text Victor hoping they can meet up to discuss Newman business.

When Chelsea appears, Adam will wonder how she’s doing since she was on edge the last time they talked.

Chelsea will get offended and act like Adam’s implying she can’t be trusted with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

Things will start to get heated, but Kyle will show up and ask if everything’s all right.

Adam will insist they were just talking about their son and will bring up Kyle’s recent Harrison troubles.

After Adam assures Kyle that Ashland is on his way out of town, Kyle will snark about not taking everything Adam says as gospel.

Chelsea will seem amused over Kyle’s comment and will want to thank him for his chivalry with a coffee, so they’ll head off together.

At Crimson Lights, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will bump into Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), so there’ll be some tension due to Sally’s past scheming.

However, Sally will think the important thing is everything worked out like it was supposed to with Summer’s amazing life in Milan and her own wonderful life in Genoa City.

Summer will admit that Milan was never where she was supposed to be and will offer updates on Marchetti relocating to GC.

There’ll be some awkwardness as Chelsea and Kyle come along, so Sally will head out – leaving Summer to thank Kyle and Chelsea for coming to her rescue.

Chelsea will admit there’s a lot of that going around since Kyle already rescued her from Adam earlier.

After Sally and Chelsea talk about Sally being an opportunist, the conversation will shift to Chelsea’s new fashion line with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson).

That’ll lead to Summer’s confession about Jabot buying Marchetti and their hope for a Fenmore’s collaboration since a partnership’s already in place.

Chelsea will seem intrigued over the possibility of working with Summer.

At Society, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will show up, so Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will convince him to join her at a table.

After some small talk, Diane will contend that they can do better than that since they share a son, grandson and history.

Jack will think taking a walk down memory lane would mean running into boulders, but he’ll end up smiling over some cute Harrison stories with Diane.

After Diane reflects on some good co-parenting days with Jack, she’ll make the mistake of bringing up Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and how she was always protecting her territory back then.

Jack will nearly storm out, but Diane will apologize and start crying over how she wants to make amends with all the people she’s wronged.

Diane will put Jack at the top of the list, so he’ll sit back down and seem like he believes her.

At Newman Media, Victor will acknowledge that Victoria may be making an irreparable mistake, so Adam will suggest that she might flourish out of his shadow.

Adam will think maybe this will be good for everyone – that they can all become something greater.

Back in Ashland’s suite, he’ll fill Victoria in on her father’s angry visit.

Victoria will be eager to get out of Victor’s reach and will think the only problem is Billy now.

Nevertheless, Victoria will be determined to fight back twice as hard and will just hope the battle doesn’t get ugly.

Once Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) joins Billy at the office, he’ll give her all the latest Victoria and Ashland news.

Billy will refuse to let Victoria take his kids away and will once again argue that he doesn’t want them living with a monster.

Lily will surprise Billy by snapping that enough is enough.

Since Ashland doesn’t pose a physical threat to Johnny and Katie, Lily will think this is really about Billy’s inability to let go of Victoria.

Lily will contend that Billy seizes any opportunity to be Victoria’s protector, but she’ll be fed up with this twisted push and pull routine.

After Lily declares she’s not putting up with it anymore, she’ll catch Billy off guard.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy and Lily’s relationship will take more hits as this storyline moves along, so stay tuned to Y&R.
