The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, March 31 Recap – Victor Appoints Adam Temporary CEO – Diane’s Deadly Escape

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, March 31, teases that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will appoint Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) temporary CEO while Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) confesses her deadly escape. Let’s talk about what’s coming up on Thursday’s exciting Y&R episode.

In Los Angeles, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will remain in disbelief over Diane standing in front of him since she’s supposed to be dead.

Jack will wonder if Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) was part of this, but Allie won’t even know what this is!

Diane will argue that part of her did die during the darkest time of her life.

Diane will admit she had a vision of escaping and starting over, but none of it went how she planned. Diane will insist it took her a long time to come to grips with how she failed.

Jack will rant about all the destruction Diane left in her path.

Jack will tell Allie to wipe this woman from her mind, but Diane will protest that she did all this to show Jack how sorry she was for her mistakes.

Allie will reel over Diane using a fake name and exploiting Keemo Nguyen’s (Philip Moon) death as part of her plot.

Allie will feel like Diane treated her like some prize to be handed over, but Diane will contend that this was a gift for both Jack and Allie.

After Allie realizes Diane is evil, she’ll declare that she wants no part of this.

Diane will beg Allie not to lose what she just found with Jack, but Allie will take off anyway.

“You are and have always been poison!” Jack will snap before rushing off as well.

That’ll leave Diane distraught since the reunion clearly wasn’t what she had in mind.

Next, Allie will agree to meet with Jack at the café again and let him explain.

Jack will be sorry that Allie got caught in the crossfire and will admit Diane had a memorial service with her young grieving son in the front pew.

Jack will reveal that was his son as well – and though Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is a grown man now, some wounds never heal.

Jack will talk about Diane letting everyone believe she was murdered in gruesome fashion and won’t think anyone in Genoa City can forgive her.

However, Jack will note that getting to know Allie has been such a blessing. He won’t want anything to get in the way of their new bond.

Diane will send Jack a text begging him to come back since they have so much to talk about.

Although Jack will wish he could pretend Diane doesn’t exist, he’ll guess it’s too late for that.

At Society, Victor will treat Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) to a meal since it’s the least he can do.

Lauren will want to order up a bunch of expensive items and will make it clear that Michael’s done working for Victor.

Michael will put the blame on Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) for his ordeal and try to convince Lauren that he has to see this through.

Victor will assure Michael that his next assignment can be done in Genoa City.

Victor will want Michael to look closely at the Newman-Locke merger contract and find any loophole that could help “kick that bastard to the curb.”

In a moment alone, Michael will once again push Lauren to see that he has to help bring Ashland down.

Michael will want to make sure Ashland reaps what he’s sown!

In Victoria’s office, she’ll have some loose ends to tie up at the office and will send Ashland on some errands ahead of their trip.

Ashland will feel like Victoria is trying to get rid of him, but she’ll offer reassurance and push for a pact.

They’ll agree to believe in each other before Ashland suggests he can’t wait to be alone with Victoria in Italy.

“Who knows? Maybe we’ll just never come back,” Ashland will say.

At Crimson Lights, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will tell Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) that Ashland faked his cancer – though he’ll want this to stay between them.

Lily will be disgusted as she tries to wrap her head around Ashland doing something so cruel.

Once Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) walk over, they’ll talk to Billy and Lily about Victoria’s plan to handle things herself.

Nick and Billy will have concerns about Ashland reeling Victoria back in, but Nikki and Lily will act like this is in Victoria’s hands now.

After Nikki leaves, Nick will urge Billy to talk to Victoria again.

Nick will feel like Billy might be the one person who could get through to Victoria, so Billy will ultimately agree – though Lily won’t be thrilled about the idea.

At Newman Media, Adam and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will discuss what’s next.

They’ll talk about how Newman-Locke going to need a strong leader – and Adam will want Sally right there with him at the top.

Adam will think he should reach out to Victor and make an effort to stay in the loop.

Adam will allude to a vision for Newman-Locke that will surprise all his detractors right as Victor walks in.

Adam will be skeptical of Victoria’s mysterious plan once he’s brought in the loop. He’ll wonder if Victor is really going to stand by and let her bury them deeper.

Adam will suspect that Victoria’s going to protect her public image and maybe even her marriage.

Although Victor will wish Adam would stop vilifying his sister, Adam will argue that Victoria must be stopped.

Moments later, Victoria will call Victor and ask him to bring Adam along to the family meeting.

At Society, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will find Ashland waiting for takeout and will realize he’s still playing the role of the misunderstood victim.

Nate will push Ashland to tell the truth and do the right thing for once in his life.

In Victoria’s office, she’ll gather with Nikki, Nick, Victor and Adam.

Victoria will announce that she’s leaving for Tuscany with Ashland tonight, so Victor will want to know the plan since the fate of the company depends on her next move.

When Victoria asks if that’s a request or a demand, Victor will suggest it’s a bit of both.

Nick won’t get why Victoria is shutting them out – and Nikki won’t see what possible reason Victoria has for doing this either.

Victoria will once again push her family to trust her, but Victor will decide to make an announcement of his own.

Victor will note that while Victoria is gallivanting around the Tuscan countryside with her husband, he’s appointing Adam as the temporary CEO of Newman Enterprises.

Victoria will argue that she doesn’t need a replacement and will add that she can handle things in Tuscany just fine.

Victoria will be sorry for the misunderstanding, but Victor will counter that there’s been no misunderstanding and will insist this is what he wants.
