The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 12, reveals that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will plot to help Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) win Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) back. A sneaky matchmaking plan will get underway, so here’s what Y&R fans can expect.
At Crimson Lights, Victoria will run into Ashland and comment on his generous New Hope offer – though she’ll assume it comes with an ulterior motive.
Ashland will insist his motive is guilt over the accident, so Victoria will clear things up regarding Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) heart attack.
At Newman Media, Adam will tell Sally that he wants every last bit of Newman Enterprises – and Ashland will remain the key to making it happen.
If Ashland wins Victoria back, Adam will think that’ll either pull them away from Newman or leave Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) so furious that he questions Victoria’s ability to run the company.
Regardless, the door will be open for Adam to take over.
Sally will find the idea intriguing, but she’ll also think it’s risky.
Adam will insist they can’t appear to be matchmaking – even if that’s obviously what they’re doing!
After Sally agrees they can’t be overt about it or collude with Ashland, Adam will suggest they should just plant the seeds to push Victoria and Ashland together.
At the cottage, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will come home from Rey’s Miami funeral and hear about Ashland’s $250 million offer in Rey’s name.
While Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is explaining, Sharon will cut him off and argue that Rey would want something good to come out of the bad.
Sharon will think Nick should take every dime he can get and will feel like it’s poetic justice.
Afterward, Nick will meet with Ashland at Society to make the New Hope deal official – though he’ll still feel like Ashland is a snake.
If Ashland really loved Victoria, Nick will think he’d leave town and let her rebuild her life.
Since Ashland will refuse, Nick will hint that the Newmans might have to get more creative and extreme next time they try to drive him out.
Adam and Sally will sit down nearby before Ashland approves the wire transfer over the phone.
Once Nick takes off, Adam will praise Ashland’s power play and will hint that Victoria’s going to look favorably on the donation.
However, Adam will suggest Victoria is still hanging onto the fantasy of the guy she thought she’d fallen in love with and will act like it’s a problem for the Newmans.
After the coast is clear, Sally will think Adam hit a bullseye with his latest move.
Adam will want to go plant another seed and will vow to meet up with Sally at Newman Media later.
In Victoria’s office, she’ll admit to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) that part of her still loves Ashland.
Victoria will confess that she keeps thinking her love might’ve changed Ashland and made him regret all the lies.
That said, Victoria won’t like feeling that way and will be humiliated over what’s in her heart.
After Nikki reassures Victoria, she’ll consider the possibility that maybe Ashland’s love is the only true thing about him.
Nikki will wonder if that’s really worth complete forgiveness, so Victoria will shut down that notion – though she’ll still be trying to work out how she feels about Ashland’s burning car rescue.
Next, Adam will show up and act like he’s not getting much gratitude for his efforts to push Ashland out of the picture.
Even so, Adam will announce that he’s not going to fight Victoria’s co-CEO decision and will choose to focus on making Newman Media a powerhouse.
Victoria won’t know what Adam’s visit was really about, but she’ll end up taking a break from all things Newman.
That’ll land Victoria at Society’s bar, where Sally will approach her to talk about something and offer to buy her a drink.
At Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) apartment, they’ll discuss their upcoming wedding plans.
It’ll dawn on Mariah that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) never confirmed whether he’d officiate, so she’ll start freaking out.
Tessa will insist that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) would be happy to fill in, but Mariah will have her heart set on Kyle performing the ceremony.
Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) will offer a brief distraction when he shows Mariah and Tessa their wedding decorations at Top of the Tower.
Although Tessa and Mariah will absolutely love the decked out venue, Mariah will remain concerned about the officiant situation.
After Kyle shows up, Noah and Tessa will head down to the coffeehouse. That’ll leave Kyle to admit the officiating thing slipped his mind until he was packing for Milan.
Kyle called Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), who convinced him to stay and will join him in GC to support him through the Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) drama.
Mariah will hope that means Kyle’s willing to officiate, but he’ll worry since he’s not in a great headspace.
After Mariah makes a big speech about why Kyle’s the perfect fit, he’ll decide he’s on board.
Mariah will also assure Kyle that she’s got his back when it comes to everything that’s going on with his mom.
At Crimson Lights again, Tessa and Noah will be glad they’re past all the awkwardness.
Noah will assure Tessa that he’ll always love her as a friend and as the woman who’s making his sister happy.
Once Tessa and Noah head back up to the apartment, they’ll find out Kyle agreed to officiate.
Sharon will also offer a pre-wedding pampering basket when she shows up with Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster).
After Sharon takes on a gift bag project, she’ll meet back up with Nick and come clean about how she’s really holding up.
Although the funeral in Miami was hard, Sharon will think it was good to come together and grieve with Rey’s family.
Now Sharon will want to focus on making sure Mariah and Tessa have an amazing day.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Tessa and Mariah’s ceremony will bring some fun moments, so stay tuned!
