The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 19, reveals that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will deliver a shocking Jabot proposal while Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) enjoy some bedroom passion.
At home on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will open some wedding gifts, including one with a family theme.
That’ll get Tessa talking about their first child, so Mariah will be caught off guard over the “first” part.
Tessa will admit she was getting ahead of herself, but Mariah will insist she’d love to have more than one eventually.
After making love, Mariah and Tessa will decide to stay up all night and watch the sunrise on their first day as a married couple.
At The Grand Phoenix, Jack will walk Phyllis back to her suite. Phyllis will blame their earlier kiss on the wedding and all the emotions that were stirred up, but she’ll give Jack bedroom eyes.
Jack will end up hitting the sheets with Phyllis, so she’ll suggest the kiss was about more than the wedding and declare that this feels right.
As they enjoy the afterglow, Phyllis will propose continuing their celebration with Society’s late-night menu.
Meanwhile, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will invite Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) to join him at his Society table.
After Michael gets updates on Diane crashing the wedding to watch Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) officiate, he’ll warn her not to make any other impulsive moves.
When Phyllis comes in, she’ll fume over Michael and Diane looking like “best buds” every time she sees them. Jack will urge Phyllis to ignore them, but she’ll get under Diane’s skin by fawning all over instead.
After Diane thanks Michael for dinner and his friendship, she’ll wish Jack and Phyllis a good evening on her way out. Phyllis will remind Diane to be out of the hotel first thing in the morning and will hope this means she’ll go back to Los Angeles.
Jack will keep giving Phyllis dreamy looks all night, so she’ll reflect on those blue eyes of his and how he takes her breath away sometimes.
As for Michael, he’ll defend his friendship with Diane when Phyllis confronts him.
Michael will act like he’d do the same for Phyllis if she were in Diane’s shoes and will urge Phyllis to suck it up.
After Jack takes Phyllis back to The Grand Phoenix, they’ll part ways in the lobby this time.
Jack will talk about things evolving between them and will think they can decide where things go from here without interference from others.
Once Phyllis gives Jack a quick kiss goodnight and heads upstairs, Diane will pipe up nearby about romance being in the air tonight.
Jack will find out Michael advised Diane to be patient with Kyle and will think that’s the right idea.
Diane will ask if Jack has talked to Kyle, but he’ll refuse to be a go-between and will think Diane needs to stop pressuring their son.
Next, Diane will bring up how things seem to be moving along between Jack and Phyllis.
After Diane comments on the timing, she’ll think it’s obvious that Phyllis is marking her territory.
At the Abbott house, Summer will get why Kyle is torn about whether he should forgive Diane and won’t want him to get hurt.
Kyle will agree with Summer about leaving Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) out of this as long as possible.
Once Kyle decides to table the Diane discussion and focus on Summer, they’ll make love upstairs.
Afterward, Kyle will canoodle in bed with Summer as they talk about how much they’ve missed Genoa City.
Summer will also admit she needs to talk to Kyle about her job. After Angelina Marchetti (Cristina Serafina) brushed off her concerns about Marchetti’s finances, Summer did a deep dive into the company’s books.
Unfortunately, it was worse than Summer ever could’ve imagined.
Since Angelina is in denial, Summer will feel like it’s going to take a big idea to keep the company afloat.
Kyle will be taken aback when Summer suggests that Jabot could buy Marchetti.
The proposition will intrigue Kyle as they discuss how Jabot’s partnership with Fenmore’s would make Marchetti a natural fit.
Plus, they could move operations back to Genoa City and move home permanently.
Summer will think that’s something that appeals to both of them, but she’ll also wonder if the Diane drama would make Kyle wary of moving back.
At Crimson Lights, Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) will realize they’re closed, but Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) will mention that his mom owns the place and will still serve her coffee.
Allie will confess to feeling overwhelmed by her big family, so Noah will understand and offer some advice on dealing with one.
After Noah mentions that Jack used to be his stepfather, Allie will realize that one of Jack’s many marriages was to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case).
Noah will assure Allie that she can go at her own pace and should ask for space when she needs it, so she’ll seem receptive to the guidance.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Allie will continue her efforts to find her Genoa City groove, so stay tuned.
