The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, October 20, tease that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will face a tricky Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) situation while Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) decides whether she’ll make a risky Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) move.
Y&R fans know Diane recently lied to Jack’s face about having no contact with Tucker – not since the night of her faked death.
Jack was skeptical since the hints are piling up to suggest Diane and Tucker were connected in Los Angeles.
That’s why Diane will use another tactic to hide her trail.
We’ll see Diane try to put the blame on Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) for stirring things up and working to turn Jack against her.
However, Jack will guilt-trip Diane when he brings up her track record of lying.
Since Jack won’t think Diane can blame anyone’s doubts on Phyllis, she’ll start to worry about her deception falling apart.
Afterward, Diane will have an encounter with Phyllis and grow concerned about Talia Morgan’s (Natalie Morales) persistent digging.
It’ll be yet another reason for Diane to predict disaster.
Diane will know that if hard evidence comes to light, this isn’t going to end well for her.
Before the week’s over, Diane will decide she’d better change her strategy once again and come clean to Jack about her Tucker connection in LA.
In the meantime, Phyllis and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will push Ashley to take a big risk.
Ashley would rather cut Tucker out of her life completely, but Nikki and Phyllis know she could be their best shot at scoring Diane intel.
As a result, it looks like Ashley will surrender to the pressure and reach out to Tucker for a manipulative move.
Ashley will have to be careful since she certainly wasn’t immune to Tucker’s charms in the past!
Over with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), they’ll get some amazing news from Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell).
It turns out there’s an expectant mother who’s interested in Tessa and Mariah as potential adoptive parents.
Before this woman agrees to give them her baby, she’ll want to get to know Mariah and Tessa in person.
That could bring some anxiety, but Christine will guide Tessa and Mariah through the process to make everyone as comfortable as possible.
