The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, October 27 Recap – Sally’s Bad Day Gets Worse – Johnny & Chelsea’s Encounter

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, October 27, tease that Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) bad day will get worse while Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) have a tense encounter.

In Costa Rica, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will head to the beach with Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez), but the rain will quickly send them back inside their villa.

That’ll give Summer and Kyle a chance to give Harrison his surprise, so he’ll be thrilled over a bucket full of Halloween candy and toys.

Once they make it back to the beach, Harrison will fall asleep and give “Skyle” some alone time.

However, Harrison will wake up soon after, so he’ll share some cute moments in bed with Kyle and Summer.

In Genoa City, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will talk to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) about her plan to hire Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) as Sally’s replacement.

Nate will need time to mull over the decision, but Victoria will insist Sally is out no matter what.

When Victoria mentions that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is off breaking the news, she’ll hint that his relationship with Sally is no longer just professional.

Nikki will flip out over that shocker and hope Sally will be mature enough to accept Victoria’s decision.

As for Victoria, she’ll mention Johnny’s bio mom difficulties and plan to have some one-on-one time with her son tonight.

Victoria will be willing to discuss Chelsea if Johnny wants, but she’ll insist he’s been pretty emphatic about shutting that door.

After Victoria talks about trying to repair the damage that’s been done, Nikki will assure her daughter that she has her family’s support.

At Crimson Lights, Nick will tell Sally that she’s being replaced along with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) at Newman Media.

Sally will wonder if this is coming from Victoria or Nick, so Nick will admit off the record that it was his sister’s call.

Once Nick assures Sally that he fought hard for her, she’ll admit that means more than he knows.

Sally will decide she’s used to rolling with the punches and is proud of what she achieved, but she’ll hate that Chloe’s out of a job.

Nick will offer to help Sally get a new position where she can take Chloe along, but she won’t want him to feel like he owes her anything.

When Nick acknowledges this is coming at a bad time emotionally, Sally will act like she’ll figure it all out.

Nick will remain apologetic over the situation as he takes Sally’s hand across the table.

In Chelsea’s hotel suite, she’ll call Chloe and learn she’s busy with the kids. Chelsea will then head to the park, where she’ll run into Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).

After Phyllis says she gets why Chelsea stepped away from Fenmore’s and the Marchetti offer, she’ll suggest it was for the best.

Chelsea will almost get offended, but Phyllis will clarify that it was their loss and that Chelsea had to do what was right for her.

Phyllis will wonder what happened with the podcasts since they seemed like such a success.

Chelsea will act like it was just time to move on from those too, so Phyllis will feel confident Chelsea will find the right job soon.

Once Chelsea is alone on Thursday’s Y&R episode, she’ll be surprised when Johnny appears.

Chelsea will ask how Johnny is before Victoria pops up and asks what’s going on.

Johnny will wonder if Chelsea is following him, but she’ll insist she didn’t plan this. Once Victoria sends Johnny off to the coffeehouse, she’ll assure Chelsea that she knows it was a chance encounter.

Nevertheless, Victoria will want to respect Johnny’s decision, so she’ll urge Chelsea to stay silent and just walk away if she runs into Johnny again.

Chelsea will confirm she understands, so Victoria will be glad they’re on the same page.

Later, Sally will sit at Society’s bar and leave a voicemail for Chloe. Phyllis will eavesdrop and realize there are problems at work, so she’ll offer to buy Sally a drink and do some taunting.

Since Sally wasn’t qualified when Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) got her that job, Phyllis won’t be surprised that things fell apart.

Sally will eventually urge Phyllis to get out of her face before this gets ugly, but Phyllis will keep pushing her buttons.

Even so, Sally will decide she’s a class act who knows when to shut up and walk away, so that’s exactly what she’ll do.

At Newman Enterprises, Nick will make it clear that although he did what Victoria asked, he’s not on board with firing Sally – especially since Nate has even less experience.

Once Nick complains to Nikki, she’ll complain right back about his personal involvement with Sally.

Nikki will think Nick is giving Adam another reason to resent his brother, but Nick won’t act like he cares about Adam’s feelings.

As for Sally, Nikki will insist she’s a survivor and will feel certain she’s going to be fine.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sally will have to find a new job soon, so stay tuned to see where she’ll end up.
