The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, September 8, tease that a Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) recast will debut while Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) shows remorse. There’ll also be a Newman family announcement, so here’s what Y&R has in store.
For starters, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will have another conversation with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and perhaps relate over all the judgmental people in their lives. Billy will help Chelsea as she tries to find a path forward – one that’ll ultimately prove to be quite surprising.
Until then, it looks like Chelsea will get her wish for Johnny and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) bonding time. Although Connor and Johnny should simply connect as cousins for now, Chelsea will enjoy watching them play and will perhaps chat with Johnny herself.
Paxton Mishkind will take over as a Johnny Abbott recast on Thursday’s show, so Y&R fans will want to give him a warm welcome to the role.
As for Chelsea, she’ll hope for the day when she can tell Johnny that she’s his biological mother and that Connor is his half-brother. Billy may promise that day will come as he continues to serve as a source of support.
Over with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), she’ll confront Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and launch an argument. That could be about Jack’s controversial decision to hire Adam as his co-CEO – or maybe this will involve the typical Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) drama instead.
Next, Adam will show remorse and perhaps offer another apology. We’ll see Adam go after forgiveness once again, so he may kick his efforts with Sally up a notch or even apologize to Chelsea for their recent tiff.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say the Newmans will gather for a major announcement – one that’ll involve Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) shocking news.
Will Nikki decide to step down from the COO position at Newman Enterprises? That’s one possibility to consider since Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is on the verge of making some huge changes behind the scenes.
