The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) seems to be plotting a Jabot takeover – one where he becomes a powercouple with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) to kick Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) off the throne.
Y&R fans know Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) was supposed to get her hands on Jabot financial info for Tucker, but she was never able to pull that off. Tucker expressed disappointment since it meant giving up half his dream, but he may not give up on that dream for long.
Of course, Tucker was never clear about his ultimate goal, so Diane kept pestering him for clarification. The idea of Tucker trying to take Ashley’s family company away didn’t make sense to Diane, so Tucker wondered who said anything about taking it away from her.
That made it sound like Tucker indeed had a takeover plot in mind, but perhaps he wanted to include Ashley in it. That makes sense considering Tucker’s view of the situation at Chancellor-Winters.
Tucker believes there are only two people worthy of running Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) company: Tucker himself and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).
Likewise, Tucker may believe Ashley deserves to take her rightful place on the Jabot throne. Maybe Tucker imagines wrestling control away from Jack and the other Abbotts so that Ashley can run the show.
In that case, Tucker certainly wouldn’t want Jack and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to remain as co-CEOs. Tucker is likely hoping that he can run Chancellor-Winters alongside Devon while Ashley becomes top dog at Jabot.
In Tucker’s eyes, his mission may be about claiming birthrights and carrying on family legacies. Regardless, Tucker definitely wants to win back Ashley and has sneaky Jabot plans based on the financial records he wanted to steal.
