The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) might push Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) together. Will Tucker play matchmaker for Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor’s (Rainn and River) mom and bio dad?
Tucker is a master manipulator who always likes to work behind the scenes and try to control the outcome of things.
That could include Devon’s love life as this Y&R storyline moves along.
Tucker is juggling multiple agendas now that he’s back in town, including winning Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) back and reconnecting with Devon.
We also know Tucker wants to bond with Dominic and hopefully take over Chancellor-Winters.
If Tucker decides to push Devon in Abby’s direction romantically, it could work out well on all fronts.
As Devon’s biological father and someone who missed out on a great deal of time with him, Tucker may decide he doesn’t want that for his son and grandson.
It’s easy to imagine Tucker hoping to push Dominic’s other father out of the picture, especially since Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) keeps prioritizing work and creating issues.
Tucker might use those to his advantage and encourage Devon to keep strengthening his own connection with Abby.
Although Abby certainly isn’t a fan of Tucker, Devon stands the best chance of winning her over and helping her learn to tolerate his bio dad.
That could be important if Tucker intends to spend enough time with Dominic to bond with him.
Abby is also someone who would have a plenty of sway with Ashley.
If Devon comes to accept that Tucker has changed and makes Abby believe it, Tucker might think that could go a long way toward convincing Ashley, too.
There’s the potential for Tucker to see all the benefits of Devon, Abby and Dominic forming a happy new family with Chance out of the way.
Tucker could envision blissful family gatherings where he’s by Ashley’s side and they’re all getting along.
This could fit right in with Tucker’s family-driven view of Chancellor-Winters’ future.
It’d be simple for Tucker to manipulate things and perhaps cause Chance to screw up enough to derail his marriage completely.
That could open the door for Devon to step up, so we’ll see if Tucker uses his master manipulation powers on his son’s love life next.
