The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, April 12, teases that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) will propose a new empire and reset. Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) emotions will go haywire as a result, so let’s discuss what’s coming up on Y&R.
In Victoria’s office, Ashland will admit he had been looking forward to alone time away with her.
Ashland will also mention regrets about the life he’s lived and reveal how loving Victoria so deeply took him by surprise.
Ashland will hate the thought of all that going away.
Ashland will act unsure about the plan and will confess to getting on Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) computer – though he’ll claim it was to look for evidence that he was framed.
After Ashland says he didn’t find anything that would implicate Adam, he won’t be sure he wants to dig deeper.
Ashland will mention nearly getting caught by Adam and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
Ashland will suggest it made him realize he was behaving like a lowlife criminal who was up to his old tricks.
Ashland will worry about going further down this path and forcing Victoria to cross a line.
Ashland will fear their love will be destroyed in the end and won’t get why Victoria is so willing to be involved.
Victoria will make it clear that she doesn’t think Adam is capable of change.
Victoria will do her best to reassure Ashland that protecting her husband and his reputation is what matters most.
However, Ashland will propose the idea of just walking away and starting with a clean slate somewhere else.
Ashland will contend that they could create a new empire away from Victoria’s family and will act like their love is what’s important.
Victoria will seem uncertain, so Ashland will insist he’s not going to pressure her. He’ll leave to get some rest while Victoria looks deep in thought.
At Newman Media, Adam will tell Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) that there’s no indication that Ashland planted any files on his laptop.
Adam will express doubts about Victoria’s plan and all the pitfalls it could bring.
After Victor insists they’ll catch Ashland red-handed, he’ll remind Adam that Victoria will resume her role as CEO of Newman-Locke when this is all over.
Adam will be willing to play his role, but he’ll think Victor’s putting way too much faith in a half-baked plan that Ashland may already see right through.
Victor won’t be concerned about Ashland plotting his next move. He’ll think this is a chess game and will be confident in his own ability to come out on top.
Later, Adam will complain to Sally about being the fall guy when he’s worked so hard to prove he’s changed.
Adam won’t think it’s fair that he’s just going to be used as a punching bag and kicked to the curb as his reward.
Sally will remind Adam that successfully running Newman Media isn’t getting kicked to the curb.
Sally will argue that Victor was just putting Adam in his place and will act like Adam could still get promoted.
Sally will think Adam needs to prove he’s a leader and count himself lucky over all these chances to reinvent himself.
Adam will thank Sally for her honesty and get that sometimes he can sound like a selfish, insensitive jerk.
Nevertheless, Sally will get that Adam’s had hardships of his own.
After Adam says he’s glad Sally didn’t know the old him, she’ll admit the one she’s with now is phenomenal.
Sally will assure Adam that he’ll have his chance to make his own amazing move.
At Crimson Lights, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will open up to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) about Victoria’s plan making her complicit.
Nick will mention Victor’s security team watching over Victoria and leave Sharon alarmed over this turning into a dangerous all-out war.
When Ashland shows up, Nick will take that as his cue to exit.
Sharon will be rather cold to Ashland as she gets him his coffee, but Ashland will insist that he’s innocent of the claims against him.
Soon after, Adam will appear with Sally by his side. Once Adam says he has an idea, Sally will warn him to be careful and watch as he joins Ashland.
Adam will want to strike a deal with Ashland and will suggest that he’s speaking for the Newman family.
Adam will offer Ashland $500 million to walk away from Newman-Locke and Victoria today.
In Victoria’s office again, she’ll tell Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) about a snag in the plan.
Victoria will admit she practically had to beg Ashland to frame Adam earlier, so Nikki will think this is more manipulation.
Nikki will feel like it’s despicable for Ashland to make Victoria believe he actually loves her and that he has a conscience.
Victoria will admit that in all the time she’s known Ashland, he’s never sounded more sincere.
Victoria will think something more is going on, but Nikki will insist Ashland is a con man.
Nikki will think Ashland just knows his days are numbered and will feel like he’s looking for a clean exit.
Nikki will consider the possibility that Ashland knows what they’re up to and wants to get away before they pull it off.
Victoria will mention how Ashland wanted them to escape together and start fresh, but Nikki will argue that Ashland was testing her.
Nikki will get concerned about the idea of Victoria potentially buying all this.
Nick will arrive and learn Ashland now seems conflicted about framing Adam, so he’ll admit to having doubts about the plan as well.
Victoria will still think her scheme is the best course of action, but Nikki will worry that her daughter’s having second thoughts.
Nikki will wonder if despite everything that’s happened, there’s still part of Victoria that loves Ashland.
Nick will look intrigued to hear that answer – and so will Victor once he joins the family meeting.
