The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, April 19, teases that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) will admit he’s a fraud before Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) goes for a car drive resulting in a fiery car crash. Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will also quiz Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), so there’ll be a lot happening in Genoa City.
In Victoria’s office, Ashland will be forced to accept that he’s been duped.
Victoria only told Ashland what he wanted to hear so he’d sign away control of Newman-Locke and agree to the annulment.
Ashland’s surprise will be downright offensive to Victoria. She’ll find it pathetic that Ashland even thought they had a chance after he lied to her about having a terminal illness.
Despite everything, Ashland will insist that he loves Victoria and wants that new life they planned.
Although Victoria will have no interest in that, she’ll hope Ashland at least has the decency to come clean about the phony cancer.
Y&R spoilers say Ashland will acknowledge that Victoria’s right.
Ashland will confess to carrying out this whole cancer charade through bribes and fake treatments, so Victoria will get the admission of guilt she’s looking for.
Victoria will hope that might make her feel better on some level – just to hear Ashland admit he’s a liar.
However, Victoria will remain distraught over building a life with Ashland based on so much deception.
Ashland will assure Victoria that what started out as a scheme became a desperate attempt to hold onto their love.
That love will still be real in his eyes, so he’ll make one last pitch for a new beginning.
Victoria will order Ashland to leave, but what then? Will Victoria get in her car and go after Ashland? Will Victoria plan to head home alone instead?
In any case, Victoria will definitely end up in her vehicle and very distraught, so we’ll get back to her in just a moment.
In the meantime, we should talk about Chelsea reaching out to Sharon and asking about the Chicago trip.
At the coffeehouse, Chelsea will hope Sharon’s all right with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) coming to the hockey game.
Chelsea will no doubt play up how much this means to Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) and hope she hasn’t made Sharon uncomfortable.
Sharon will promise she’s OK with it and question why Chelsea would think otherwise.
There’ll be an understanding that this is about Connor’s buddy coming to the game with him, so Sharon probably won’t be jealous under the circumstances.
Unfortunately, Rey’s going to get behind the wheel and suffer a case of bad timing.
Victoria will face a shocking moment on the road where she’s forced to slam her brakes – and it looks like that could lead to a tragic car accident that ultimately kills Rey.
At Society, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will be glad the Ashland war is finally over.
They’ll hope the Newman family can regroup and find a better path forward, but Victoria’s crash drama will turn everything upside down again.
Nikki will get a call from Victoria, who’ll be on speakerphone in her vehicle admitting she loved Ashland.
Victoria will shriek as she loses control, so that’ll leave Nikki freaking out on the other end of the line – especially when Victoria stops responding.

Victor and Nikki will be desperate for updates on their daughter, but those will have to wait!
