The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, April 5, teases that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will make a risky decision while Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) confesses to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
Let’s start with all the chaos happening in Los Angeles.
Phyllis could hear in Jack’s voice that something was terribly wrong, so she’ll hop on a plane following that disturbing phone call.
At the café, Phyllis will sit down with Jack and urge him to spill what’s going on. Although Phyllis may fear it’s some issue with Allie, it’s far worse!
Phyllis will find out Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) has returned from the “dead” and now wants to be in Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) life.
Despite Phyllis’ anger over Diane reentering the picture, her stance on the Kyle situation will surprise Jack.
Kyle is a grown man with a family of his own, so he’s more than capable of taking care of himself.
Phyllis won’t think it’s a good idea to keep Diane’s comeback a secret, especially since Diane could just blab herself.
Jack would probably damage his relationship with Kyle if he kept the truth from him.
Phyllis will try to make Jack see that honesty is the best policy – and she’ll think Kyle has a right to decide whether he wants Diane in his life.
Jack will see Phyllis’ point, but he’ll still have concerns about toxic Diane and what she’s capable of.
As for Phyllis, she’ll fear there’s more to Diane’s agenda than simply reconnecting with her son.
Phyllis will head to Diane’s new house with Jack, so Y&R fans will see a Diane and Phyllis showdown soon.
Back in Genoa City, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will shut down Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) escape, which apparently means shutting down Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) escape as well.
It doesn’t sound like Victoria and Ashland are headed to Tuscany after all.
Victor may think it’s best for Victoria to stay close since Ashland could do bodily harm.
Victor will also pressure Victoria to reveal how she intends to deal with Ashland, so Victoria will come clean about a trap involving Adam.
Ashland has been lying about someone framing him, so Victoria will want to cook up some proof that supports the idea.
Victoria will hope to set Adam up to take the blame – just until she can put all the pieces in place to shove Ashland out of the picture.
Adam will admit he’s carried out diabolical schemes like that in the past, so he makes the most sense as the fall guy.
As long as Adam stays in place as interim CEO of Newman-Locke, he’ll agree to pitch in on the plot.
However, Adam wouldn’t be Adam if he didn’t do a little plotting of his own.
Adam will have a secret meeting with Sally and perhaps come up with a way to ensure he stays CEO for good.
Unfortunately, Adam and Sally’s daring decision will backfire since Victor’s going to leave them stymied in the coming episodes.
