The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, April 5, tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will block Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) escape while Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) secret stuns Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will also scheme with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), so let’s talk about what’s coming up in Tuesday’s show.
For starters, Victor will thwart Ashland’s getaway, so that presumably means this Tuscany trip with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Perhaps Victor will refuse to let them leave until he learns firm details about Victoria’s plan to shove Ashland aside.
Whatever the case, Y&R will eventually reveal that Victoria wants to throw one Newman family member under the bus – namely Adam since everybody will buy it.
Victoria will hope to set Adam up and make it seem like he framed Ashland with all the awful evidence.
Adam will act like he’s going to cooperate as long as he keeps that temporary Newman-Locke CEO spot.
Of course, Adam will want to make that role permanent and won’t be able to resist a little scheming.
Adam will plot behind Victoria’s back with Sally’s help, but Victor isn’t going to approve once he finds out.
This sneaky strategizing could actually work against Adam since Victor will shut down his plan during the week of April 4-8.
In the meantime, Victoria will hope to blindside Ashland and kick him to the curb completely.
However, it doesn’t look like this Tuscany trip will actually pan out, so Victor may convince Victoria to stay safe and carry out her own plan right there in Genoa City.
In Los Angeles, Phyllis will show up concerned after a quick flight to meet Jack.
Phyllis will demand answers, so Jack will spill a shocker at that little café he’s been frequenting.
After Jack admits that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is alive and wants to reconnect with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Phyllis will reel over that huge news.
Jack will insist there’s no way he’s letting Diane near Kyle, but Phyllis won’t really think that should be up to Jack – not when Kyle’s an adult who can do what he wants.
Naturally, Phyllis will still have concerns about Diane, so she’ll want to speak with Diane herself and will confront her within the next few episodes.
