The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, August 16, teases that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will see Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) in a new light while Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) risky plan is revealed.
First, Victor will make sure the Newman clan understands what’s at stake.
Once Victor delivers an ultimatum, he’ll hope Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and especially Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) are willing to do what they’re told.
Victor will then spell out how he intends to handle Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), who’s getting way too close to proving the truth.
Since Victor has no intention of going to prison or letting this blow back on his loved ones, he’ll reveal a risky plan and hope it’ll save this cover-up.
While Victor deals with lingering Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) drama, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will get stuck in Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) hostility.
Although Lily will fight for peace, she’ll fear Nate and Devon may not be able to overcome the conflict.
Y&R spoilers say that could put Chancellor-Winters at risk and put their family in a fragile state.
Back with Nick, he’ll catch up with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and offer praise.
Sally still hasn’t turned the Ashland story into a big scandal, so Nick will appreciate that.
Nick may also be impressed by Sally’s Newman Media ideas and how well she’s rebounded following her Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) split.
Of course, Sally is still struggling deep down and may confess she’s trying to strike a deal with her ex.
Sally needs closure, so she’s pushing Adam to confess the real reason he broke up with her – and in exchange, she’s offered him Ashland death details.
Whether Adam goes for that offer or not, Sally may promise Nick she’s not actually going to spill anything.
Finally, Chelsea will view Billy in a new light.
Billy didn’t shut down Chelsea’s suggestion regarding Johnny Abbott (last played by Holden and Ryan Hare), so that was a good sign.
Since Billy agreed to have a conversation with Victoria, he’s somewhat open to revealing Chelsea as Johnny’s biological mother.
Chelsea is seeing a less stubborn side of Billy and may think this podcast is really loosening him up.
It seems like Chelsea may be falling for Billy again, so it’ll be interesting to see where this story leads.
If Billy falls back in love with Chelsea as well, these two could be headed for trouble.
In the meantime, Chelsea will decide she needs to take the burden off Billy and approach Victoria about the bio mom bombshell herself.
