The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, August 23, tease that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will force Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) choice while Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) loyalty is put to the test. Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) mental state will also be a concern for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), so let’s talk about what’s in store.
First, Lily will decide it’s time to put her foot down and force Billy to pick a path for his future.
Billy was hoping he could reach a decision before Lily handed down an ultimatum, but it looks like an ultimatum is indeed coming.
Lily knows Billy is passionate about his podcasts – and she loves the fact that he’s found something to get hyped up about.
Those podcasts are a big hit for Chancellor-Winters, so Lily can’t really complain about that either.
However, Billy is becoming too distracted to stay on top of his COO duties.
Lily needs someone she can rely on 100 percent, but Billy isn’t that person when he’s juggling the podcasts along with everything else.
That’s why Lily will give Billy a nudge toward doing one or the other.
If Billy just wants to make podcasts his focus, that’ll be fine by Lily. Otherwise, Billy needs to fully devote himself to being her right-hand man.
It’ll be a tough decision, but it seems Billy will decide he has to quit the podcasts – though Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will hope he might change his mind.
In the meantime, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will push Chance to prove his loyalty.
That could be as simple as Victor checking in and making sure Chance’s official report absolved the Newmans of any guilt.
Chance agreed to go with the story that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) was alive when he got in his car.
Victor will count on Chance to be a man of his word and stick to that version, so he may turn to his son-in-law for reassurance.
Other Y&R spoilers say Nikki will worry about Victoria’s mental well-being.
Victoria has been through a lot, so Nikki may push for a spa day or some other form of a break.
It sounds like Victoria will like the idea, but she’ll want Nikki to think bigger and bolder.
Victoria may come up with the ultimate way to move forward, but Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) next scheme is bound to cause more drama eventually.
