The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, August 30, teases that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will learn a hard lesson while Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) blows up. Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will also face some disappointment, so here’s what viewers can expect.
Sally will start off with some phony compliments for Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) regarding the podcast, but Chelsea won’t buy that she actually wants to be civil.
To be fair, Chelsea won’t really want to be civil either and will give as good as she gets later.
Since Sally will realize Adam and Chelsea are growing closer again, she’ll snap about her rival wasting no time.
Chelsea will insist she has no idea what Sally’s talking about, but Sally will urge her to get real. From where Sally’s standing, it’ll seem like Chelsea is pursuing an Adam reunion.
However, Chelsea will remind Sally that she goes way back with Adam.
Whether they’re romantically involved or not, Chelsea and Adam will always be tied through Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) as well as their past together.
After Chelsea minimizes Sally and Adam’s brief romance, it’ll leave Sally seething.
The result will be Sally’s fierce outburst, but Chelsea will urge her to chill and mind her own business.
Sally will ultimately realize Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) watched the whole showdown, so she’ll be embarrassed before she gets some advice.
Meanwhile, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will refuse to let Adam or anyone else threaten the Newman clan.
After Victor makes some preparations, he’ll think he’s ready for whatever sinister strategy Adam carries out next.
Victor will have a new tactic of his own, so Adam will eventually learn a difficult lesson courtesy of his father.
It doesn’t sound like Adam will get the big win he was craving and may end up feeling more wounded than ever.
Over with Abby, she’ll be excited about Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor’s (Rainn and River Ware) first birthday party.
Dom is about to celebrate a special milestone, so Abby will naturally want Chance to be part of the fun.
Although Chance will make an appearance at this bash, he may bail sooner than anticipated.
Chance might even witness Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) close bond with Dominic and feel like an outsider once again.
Of course, Chance will also have all the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) cover-up chaos on his mind.
There’ll be concerns about Adam’s next move and how Victor might retaliate, so Chance will be stressed to the max.
Chance promised Abby that he’d put his family first once upon a time, but he won’t do that in Tuesday’s Y&R episode.
If Chance disappears from Dominic’s birthday party, that’ll definitely provide a reason for Abby’s disappointment.
