The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, August 9, teases that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will fear history’s going to repeat itself while Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) face off.
For starters, Nick will meet up with Sharon again and vent about the terrible position he’s stuck in.
Part of Nick may wish he hadn’t pushed Victor so hard – that way, he could’ve claimed plausible deniability.
However, Nick was driving himself crazy in the dark, so another part of him will be glad to at least have all the facts.
Unfortunately, Nick has new problems now that he’s in the loop on Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) staged accident.
Nick will obviously battle more guilt now that he knows Ashland died from his punch, which cracked his head open on the fireplace.
We may see Nick open up about that guilt and connect it to some stories from the past.
Nick will also fret over Chance’s digging and the consequences that could result for his family.
The Newmans have had their fair share of arrests over the years, so that could bring a painful trip down memory lane.
Sharon will join Nick in reminiscing about some unpleasant memories – perhaps ones that mainly involve deceiving the police.
As Nick pointed out before, history has proven that cover-ups don’t work out well for his loved ones.
There’ll be some concerns that this case will have a similar outcome.
Nick may apologize once again for dumping all this on Sharon, who’s become part of Victor’s scheme as a result.
Despite the legal drama this could cause, Sharon will want to be there for Nick and help him in any way she can.
While Nick and Sharon fear the worst, Chance will face a roadblock at the ranch.
Y&R spoilers say Victor will dodge questions in some cases and flat-out lie when necessary.
Chance was hoping he could pry the truth out of Victor, but he won’t have any success in that department.
Victor is a pro at deception by now, so he’ll continue to hinder the investigation and may hint that Chance should back off – especially for Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) sake.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chance will walk away frustrated, but he should also be more determined than ever to prove the real Ashland story.
