The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 20, teases that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will find Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) deep in thought and hope she’s feeling remorse over the Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) situation.
However, Ashley won’t feel guilty and will think Jack is the one who’s showing poor judgment.
In Ashley’s opinion, she’ll think Jack was irresponsible for letting Diane back into all their lives.
Ashley will also suspect that Jack and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) helped Diane pull off a disappearing act so they could continue to reward her duplicitous behavior.
Jack will keep trying to sell the lie that Diane fled in fear and will eventually walk out over Ashley’s lack of compassion.
At Jabot, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will talk to Kyle about how much she wants to spend Christmas as a family with Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez).
Kyle will suggest opening presents with Harrison early in the morning before he sneaks off to Diane at the cabin.
Summer will insist on coming with Kyle and will want Harrison to tag along as well.
Although Kyle and Summer will make plans for their family’s holiday adventure, they’ll eventually decide it’s too risky since Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) could be watching.
Once Jack gets updates on Summer and Kyle’s concerns, he’ll insist they should spend Christmas with Diane and leave Jeremy to him.
At Newman Enterprises, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will approach Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) about the gift Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) offered to give them for Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind).
Victoria will act like it’s another violation of boundaries and will worry about Chelsea regressing.
Billy will assure Victoria that Chelsea is doing better and will even think she should give the gift to Johnny herself – perhaps with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) there, too.
Although Victoria will try drawing a line in the sand on this, Billy will remind her that they decided to follow Johnny’s lead.
In the end, Billy will convince Victoria that they should ask Johnny what he thinks and respect his choice.
At Crimson Lights, Johnny will get news about the gift Chelsea purchased, but Victoria will make it clear that he doesn’t have to accept it or spend time with Chelsea if he doesn’t want to.
Billy will note that Connor could be present with Chelsea, so Johnny will decide it sounds like fun to hang out with them.
Victoria will seem like she’s trying to talk Johnny out of visiting Chelsea, so he’ll point out that he doesn’t have to if Victoria doesn’t want him to.
Once Victoria claims she’s fine with it, Johnny will suggest it’s decided then.
Chelsea will be busy with an appointment when Billy texts, so Johnny will think that’ll give them time to buy a gift for her.
As Johnny frets over what Chelsea might like, Victoria will scowl and seem jealous over Johnny bonding with his biological mother.
When Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) shows up at the coffeehouse, he’ll bump into Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case).
That’ll lead to a conversation about their past, so Sharon will mention that Tucker manipulated her into being his puppet.
Sharon will sport a phony smile throughout most of the discussion and express doubt over Tucker’s changed man act.
Nevertheless, Tucker will hint that he’s an optimist and intends to forge a lasting bond with Ashley.
At home on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will catch Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) up on his LA trip, but she’ll be too exhausted to hear the whole story.
Nate will reassure Elena before sending her upstairs for a nap.
Afterward, Nate will find Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) at Society and end up joining her for lunch.
Audra will hear about Newman Media being a great fit for Nate and will downplay his actions at Chancellor-Winters.
Nate will want to know more about Audra and will wonder what she gets out of helping Chancellor-Winters other than a paycheck.
Audra won’t reveal much of anything, but she’ll admit she’s thinking of sticking around since Genoa City is growing on her.
Nate will hope Audra stays in town and will hint about coming to him if she needs a new job.
Audra will express surprise at the thought of Nate hiring her, but he won’t see why he shouldn’t.
When Nate shows up at his office, he’ll find Elena waiting for him.
Elena will suggest going out to lunch and will seem uneasy to learn he just ate with Audra after they ran into each other.
There’ll be something strange about Audra that doesn’t sit right with Elena – like she’s always working an angle.
Elena won’t be able to put her finger on it, but she’ll admit she doesn’t trust Audra.
After Tucker summons Audra to his suite, she’ll lash out over him stalling and constantly changing his plans.
Tucker will feel like it’s important to be flexible, but Audra will refuse to play the long game without knowing the payoff.
When Audra says maybe it’s time to make some plans of her own, Tucker will help her put her coat back on and will act like he won’t stand in her way.
The moment will turn passionate as Audra strips down and hooks up with Tucker once again.
While Tucker and Audra are getting dressed, Ashley will arrive at the door and push Tucker to open up.
Tucker will push Audra to hide in the bathroom and will call out to Ashley about getting decent.
After Audra is safely tucked away, Tucker will answer the door looking a bit disheveled. Ashley will think it looks like she caught Tucker at a bad time and will seem suspicious.
