The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, February 15, teases that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will be a perfect bone marrow match, so he’ll become Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor’s (Rainn and River Ware) transplant hero. Let’s talk about what’s in store on Tuesday’s Y&R episode.
At the Chancellor mansion, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will flash back to his stakeout panic attack before Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) appears.
Abby will fret over Dominic’s condition, but she’ll be glad she has Chance to lean on.
After Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) calls, he’ll want to come over with a hematologist named Dr. Alston so that she can explain Dominic’s results in person.
Chance will give Abby a pep talk before she suggests they should call Devon and ask him to join them.
At Society, Devon will be impressed over Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) podcast proposal project and will wonder if he ever sleeps.
Billy will mention his late-night ramblings and soul-searching, so Devon will think he’d be a great podcast host.
Unfortunately, Devon will have to cut the meeting short due to a call about Dominic.
Once Devon makes it to the Chancellor mansion, he’ll join Abby and Chance in getting some bad news.
Although there’ll be no sign of leukemia, Dr. Alston will reveal that Dominic has a rare blood disorder.
That’s what led to Dominic’s low red blood cell count and his recent symptoms.
Dr. Alston will recommend treating this now before it causes other issues like growth deficiencies, digestive problems or frequent infections.
Dr. Alston will point out that left unaddressed, it will likely lead to bone marrow failure.
After Dr. Alston says a bone marrow transplant is the best course of action, Abby and Devon will hope they can be donors.
Nate will explain that it’s rare for a family member other than a sibling to be fully compatible – though Abby and Devon should get tested just in case.
Nate will add that Devon and Abby will at least be half matches, but Dr. Alston will note that they would have to take special measures to prevent rejection.
It wouldn’t be ideal, but Dr. Alston will suggest it might be their best option.
Abby and Devon will want to get tested right away at the hospital, but Chance will agree to stay behind in case Dominic needs him.
Next, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will have a job offer for Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) to consider.
Lily will want Amanda to be Chief Counsel at Chancellor Industries and will insist Amanda would be in charge of all Chancellor’s legal operations.
Amanda won’t like the idea of leaving the practice she just started with Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose), but Lily will eventually bring Billy in on the pitch.
When Billy and Amanda offer a place for Imani as well, Amanda will at least agree to talk to her sister about it.
Back at the Chancellor mansion, Chance will get a visit from Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). After Rey hears the bone marrow situation, he’ll offer support.
Chance will also apologize for letting Rey down on the stakeout, so that’ll give Abby a chance to overhear and get suspicious.
Abby will wonder if something specific happened, but Chance will just act like she was right about it being too soon.
Chance will think they have more important things to worry about right now.
After Abby gets a phone call from the hospital, she’ll find out she’s a half match for Dominic as anticipated.
Abby will then ask about Devon’s results.
Meanwhile, Devon will return home to Amanda and explain why Dominic needs a bone marrow transplant.
Devon will suggest that since Dominic doesn’t have an identical twin or another sibling, his half-match parents may be as good as it gets.
However, Devon will ultimately get a call about the results and learn he’s a 100-percent match for Dominic.
Amanda will hug Devon over the positive updates since that makes him the best possible bone marrow donor.
