The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 11, reveals that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will have a terrifying Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) dream while distracted Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) misses the baby crying on the monitor.
First on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will praise Chance for his enthusiasm while reading Dominic a bedtime story.
Abby will admit she was listening on the monitor while Chance was upstairs, so he’ll act like it’s probably good to make sure he has backup.
Abby will insist she didn’t mean it like that and will understand that Chance is capable of reading Dominic a simple story.
However, Chance will suggest it’s the other stuff he’s not good at.
Abby will remind Chance of the love he has for son and talk about how this is a parenting journey that they’re taking together.
Abby will think marriage is a two-way street where they help each other out with their problems, but Chance will still seem glum.
While Abby’s upstairs in the shower, Chance will gaze out the window pensively.
Chance will hear the explosion he witnessed and miss Dom crying out on the baby monitor nearby.
Once Chance finally comes back to reality, he’ll hear Abby telling Dominic she’s sorry she didn’t hear him in the shower.
Abby will guess Daddy probably fell asleep – and after Abby comes back down later, Chance will pretend that’s what happened.
Chance will act like he must’ve dozed off and will just want to sit with Abby for a while on the sofa.
Abby will seem uneasy before she suggests they can check on Dominic one more time before bed.
Chance will claim to love the idea, but he’ll pause at the bottom of the staircase looking deep in thought.
At the penthouse, Devon won’t be able to pay much attention to the movie he’s watching with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan).
Amanda will realize this is about Dominic and will try to get Devon to open up.
After Devon falls asleep, he’ll dream that Dominic is crying somewhere. Devon will start frantically searching the penthouse as he yells that “Daddy” is coming.
Once Devon wakes up, he’ll tell Amanda about his dream and consider what it means.
Devon will wonder if maybe he didn’t find Dominic because he’s not the one who’s supposed to protect him.
Even so, Devon will admit he wants to do more than just fill in while Chance is settling into fatherhood.
Devon will want to be there for Dominic all the time for the rest of his life.
Devon won’t know if that’s selfish, but Amanda will offer plenty of reassurance.
Amanda won’t think Devon should feel guilty for wanting to give Dominic all the love in the world, but Devon won’t want to make any decisions based on a dream or while he’s feeling so tired.
At Crimson Lights, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will face a surprise party ambush.
Since Nick was in Milan on his actual birthday, he’ll get another chance to celebrate with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), Tessa Porter (Cait Fairnbanks), Noah Newman (Rory Gibson), Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) and Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines).
The gang will turn this into a gentle roast, so they’ll tell funny stories and give Nick a hard time about his dad jokes.
When Sharon hears about Nick’s job offer to Noah, she’ll be intrigued.
Nick will explain how he wants Noah to help him expand New Hope, but the most important thing to Nick and Sharon will be keeping their son in Genoa City.
Noah won’t rule out accepting the offer, but he won’t be able to give Nick an answer just yet.
In a moment alone with Tessa, Noah will talk to her about the adoption she’s planning with Mariah.
Tessa will mention how it’s in the early stages and will be glad to have a friend like Noah so close by.
After everyone sings happy birthday, Nick will blow out the candles on the cake and open presents.
Sharon’s gift will be particularly sentimental since it’ll be an old shirt she found in a vintage shop – just like Nick’s favorite that he lost once upon a time and wouldn’t shut up about.
Later, Mariah will accidentally let something slip to an excited Faith about her baby plans with Tessa.
Mariah and Tessa will be sorry since this party was supposed to be all about Nick, but he won’t mind at all.
As Tessa and Mariah discuss their adoption goal, Noah will look sad and decide to head out. Sharon will seem a bit worried about her son as he goes.
Once the party winds down, Nick will insist on helping Sharon clean up.
They’ll talk about how Nick’s more at peace now that he’s realized his family is his touchstone.
Nick will mention how they created something special in their kids, so Sharon will smile over how it’s only getting stronger.
When Nick says that’s what he wished for when he blew out his candles, Sharon will admit she already knew that. She’ll add that she knows Nick pretty well as they exchange smiles.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nick and Sharon could be on the verge of reconnecting as more than friends, so stay tuned to see if a “Shick” reunion might happen down the road.
