The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, January 4 Recap – Chelsea Says Fire Sally – Traci Derails Victoria’s Adam Scheme

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 4, teases that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will want to fire Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) while Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) derails Victoria Newman-Locke’s (Amelia Heinle) latest Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) scheme. Here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to in Tuesday’s exciting episode.

At home, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will get a text from Victoria about taking this plan to the next level. Victoria will want to meet at The Grand Phoenix, so Billy will talk Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) into going with him.

At Crimson Lights, Chelsea will bump into Sally and ask if she rang in the new year with anyone special. Sally will admit she was with Adam last night, but she’ll argue that it was all above board.

Chelsea will note that she wasn’t implying anything, especially since Adam made it very clear that he has “zero romantic interest” in Sally. She’ll act like Adam must’ve felt sorry for Sally and will want to hear some of the brainstorming session ideas.

In Adam’s office, he’ll have a New Year’s Eve flashback before Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) confronts him about partying with Sally.

Chloe will warn that Sally and Chelsea are ticking time bombs, so she’ll feel like the fashion platform’s going to implode if this keeps up.

Chloe won’t want to see Adam’s business renaissance crash and burn just because he couldn’t keep his personal and professional lives separate! She’ll think it’s best if Adam stays away from both Chelsea and Sally for his own good.

Back at the coffeehouse, Chelsea will keep shutting down all Sally’s ideas. Sally will think Chelsea is too limited in her way of thinking, but Chloe will interrupt and try to ease the tension.

When Sally says Chelsea vetoed an idea that Chloe loved, Chloe will suggest they can incorporate Chelsea’s input.

Chelsea will tell Sally and Chloe to take it from here since she has to pick up Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) anyway. She’ll leave in a huff and stir up Chloe’s questions for Sally.

Sally will think Chelsea is obviously jealous, so Chloe will ask if that jealousy is professional or personal. After Sally contends that it’s a bit of both, Chloe will point out that Sally said she’d drop all this with Adam.

Chloe will rant about Sally’s New Year’s Eve plans and will wonder if she has actual feelings for Adam that she can’t let go of.

Sally will assure Chloe that she’s not trying to steal her BFF’s boyfriend. She’ll also want to get back to the office and rework some of the ideas that Chelsea just torpedoed.

At The Grand Phoenix, Victoria and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will taunt each other before Victoria orders up a carafe of coffee with three cups. Soon after, Lily and Billy will arrive for the meeting Victoria demanded.

Victoria will think they have to start pushing Adam’s buttons and pinpointing his vulnerabilities – causing him to want to retaliate. They’ll come up with a plan since Adam’s supposed to meet with someone at the hotel this morning.

Victoria will suggest she can cause a fuss over Billy missing a holiday thing with the kids and then he can act like Adam knows what it’s like to be a bad dad.

Lily will grow frustrated over Victoria acting like she’s calling the shots, but Victoria will insist that this is her plan now.

When Adam walks in, Victoria will think they’re ready to roll. However, Billy will pump the brakes when he spots Traci.

Billy will approach Traci and learn that Jack brought her in the loop on his vengeful plan, which she won’t approve of at all.

Traci will warn Billy that she’ll be keeping an eye on things – just so they don’t get out of control.

That said, Traci will admit she has a life outside of Billy and isn’t there to keep tabs. Instead, Traci will just want to make a massage appointment.

When Billy rejoins Victoria and Lily, he’ll think they need to stand down. Billy will mention that Traci now knows because of Jack, but Victoria will refuse to throw in the towel.

After Traci has a cordial chat with Adam, she’ll encourage him to keep a safe, civil distance from Billy.

Traci will end up defending her brother and will get some backup once Phyllis comes over.

Adam won’t want to incur the wrath of the “Billy Abbott fan club,” but he’ll insist Billy is his own worst enemy. He’ll think Billy is in a tailspin, even if Traci and Phyllis don’t want to see it.

Once Adam moseys over to the lounge area, he’ll take a dig about Billy’s missteps being hard to miss these days.

Billy will thank Victoria for not saying anything after Adam’s gone. Victoria will admit the time wasn’t right, but she’ll warn Billy and Lily that this isn’t over.

Nearby, Traci will talk to Phyllis about her complicated history and present with Jack. She’ll assure Phyllis that her friendship with Jack won’t change, especially not because of his nosy sisters.

Traci will eventually approach Billy, who’ll admit Victoria is in on the plan and supports it. Billy will hope Traci’s not going to say anything, but she’ll fear she could explode trying to hold back the truth.

Traci will then try to convince Billy and Victoria to drop this, but they’ll stand their ground.

While Lily gripes to Billy about being used as Victoria’s pawns, Traci will corner Victoria in her office later.

Traci will think Victoria is using Billy, but Victoria will counter that they’re equal partners who both benefit from taking down Adam.

Traci will hope that’s true because if Billy suffers for anything that’s about to happen, she’ll think it’s on Victoria’s conscience!

In Adam’s office again, Chelsea will pop in and act like she’s fine now after getting emotional the night before.

Chelsea will make plans to have lunch with Adam and Connor, but she’ll eventually ask about his work emergency.

Adam will lie that he was talking to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about the possibility of Jabot sponsoring the fashion platform.

Chelsea will get fed up with all the mind games and call Adam out on being with Sally last night.

Adam will get irritated over Sally discussing that with Chelsea, who’ll think Sally was trying to mark her territory. Nevertheless, Adam will make it clear that he doesn’t belong to anyone.

Adam will admit to watching an old movie with Sally, but he won’t think any of this is Chelsea’s business anymore since it doesn’t involve Connor.

Chelsea will demand to know if Adam is falling for Sally, but he’ll deny dating her and will push Chelsea to figure out how to work with her.

After Chelsea mentions that she’s officially decided to sell the penthouse, she’ll warn that Sally doesn’t deserve Adam.

Chelsea will suggest that go-getters like Sally can’t see past what’s in it for them. She’ll be shocked that Adam hasn’t figured that out for himself yet.

Suddenly, Sally will show up looking for a file she left behind. Chloe will also be there as Chelsea reminds Adam of their lunch date with Connor and stomps off.

Outside the office, Chelsea will complain about Sally not understanding who’s in charge.

Chloe will act like they can fix that, but Chelsea will already know the solution. “I know how we fix it; we fire her!” Chelsea will exclaim.

Back with Sally, she’ll mention Chelsea being moody today. Adam will seem fed up as he tells Sally to “just cut it out right now.”

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sally and Chelsea’s rivalry is sure to cause more trouble, so don’t miss what’s in store!
