The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, July 12 Recap – Kyle Catches Phyllis Trashing Diane – Summer’s Plan Falls Apart

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, July 12, reveals that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will catch Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) trashing Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) as Summer Newman-Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) plan falls apart.

At Society, Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) will have some updates to share, but he’ll let Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) go first.

Nick will reveal that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is back and has offered him the COO job, so he’s rejoining Newman Enterprises.

Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will also be on hand when Nick makes his latest announcement.

Once everyone voices support, Noah will learn Nick wants him to take over New Hope and will brush off his own news.

After Faith gushes about college and how she has her whole future mapped out, Noah will look even more uneasy.

In the end, pensive Noah will step away to make a call – leaving Sharon concerned that he might not be so thrilled about the job.

At the Abbott house on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) will quiz Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) about Phyllis and Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) relationship status, but Traci will decide she’d rather not speak for Jack.

In the park, Kyle will approach Phyllis to discuss her truce with Diane.

Phyllis will argue that Diane will be the one to break that truce – and she’ll assure Kyle that she’s not going to say “I told you so” when she’s picking up the pieces.

Kyle will get agitated and suggest that Phyllis showed her true colors when she used Diane to mark her territory.

Phyllis will get all riled up, so Kyle will think it’s clear that truce was just for show.

After Kyle declares that he’ll do whatever it takes to protect his mother, Phyllis will insist that’s a choice both Kyle and Summer will regret.

At Crimson Lights, Summer will bump into Diane and warn her that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is on her way.

Diane won’t be afraid of a Nikki run-in, but she’ll get that Summer would rather not have the drama and will agree to take her coffee to-go.

Unfortunately, Diane won’t make it out fast enough to avoid a tense Nikki encounter.

Once Nikki learns Diane scored a Marchetti job, she’ll think Kyle and Summer have ensured the company’s failure.

Nikki will still want Diane out of town, but Diane will make it clear that she’s not going anywhere.

As far as Diane is concerned, she’ll think Nikki can either accept that or just pretend she’s not around.

Afterward, Diane will drop off the stuffed fox that Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) accidentally left behind.

However, it’ll become obvious that Diane is using this opportunity to seek the scoop on Jack and Phyllis.

Next, Allie will talk to Traci about Phyllis and Diane trying to buddy up to her for Jack info.

After Allie points out that she wouldn’t blab even if she knew, Traci will think it’s best to stay out of it.

Traci will note that Jack can take care of himself and has his sisters to rely on, but Allie will still offer to serve as backup.

Back at Crimson Lights, Nikki will grill Summer about why she even gave Diane a job.

Summer will wonder if Nikki’s forgiveness might be possible someday, but Nikki will shut that idea down hard.

Once Nikki warns that Summer is playing right into Diane’s hands, she’ll think Summer needs to open Kyle’s eyes to who his mom really is.

Nikki will argue that the only thing that’ll drive Diane away for good is Kyle’s total rejection – and she’ll be more than willing to speed that process along if she can.

In the park again, Allie will arrive after being summoned by Noah. That’ll lead to Noah’s confession that New Hope was never supposed to be a permanent thing.

In fact, Noah was on the verge of telling Nick that he was ready to move on, but his dad just put him in charge.

Allie will urge Noah to trust himself and walk away to pursue his passion if that’s what he truly wants.

Of course, that’ll bring Allie’s questions about Noah’s new direction and whether this means he’s leaving town.

Noah will assure Allie that he has too many reasons to stay in Genoa City and will hope that Allie can help him figure things out. Allie will admit she’d like that very much.

Back with Phyllis, she’ll join Nikki and Summer on the coffeehouse patio.

Phyllis will be intrigued when she learns Nikki has someone looking into Diane’s years away and what she was really up to.

Nikki will point out that she’s on the same side as Phyllis for once and will suggest pooling their resources.

That’ll leave Summer flipping out as she reminds Phyllis of her truce with Diane.

Nikki will wonder how Phyllis can stand by and watch Diane wheedle her way back into their lives.

Phyllis will decide Nikki is right and agree that Diane must be driven out of town.

Summer will object, but Phyllis will argue that Diane is horrible, evil and dangerous.

Right as Phyllis slams Diane and refuses to pretend she’s changed, Kyle will appear in the doorway glaring like he overheard.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis and Diane’s battle will soar to new heights eventually, so stay tuned to Y&R.

CDL will have other terrific Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news to read up on, so drop by frequently.
